How many players have averaged 26 ppg for their careers?
How many wings have averaged 9 rpg for their careers?
How many players have averaged Ackles shooting percentages for their careers?
Steph "the best two-way big in the league" Templeton is a hall of good player. George Ackles is a clear hall of fame player.

For the sake of wanting to be able to edit that post before eric did some research and showed me that my intuition was wrong about how much HoF guards/wings scored: the first 5 wing/PG HoF profiles (not nominees) I opened averaged 26 or 27 ppg.
PPG is really the only legitimate "knock" on Ackles. Those rpg and efficiency are elite.
No brainer yes.

Because he so rarely took threes his efficiency is 1.09 points per true shot attempt - good, but not elite. You want an elite scorer look at Jimmy Chitwood 1.17, Porzingis 1.13, Andrew Harrison 1.13. Maybe you don't think it's fair to compare him to the greatest scorers of all time. Maybe you don't realize this is the Hall of Fame, not a Little League AYSO millennial participation trophy award.

Got to the line at an uber-elite clip.
Top 3 non-cheese wing rebounder.
Very good defense.
But please continue to tell us about how he was .04 pts/tsa from Porzingas and went from "elite" to just "good" scorers.
He is a very good to elite scorer. We can disagree on which category to put him into.
But there can be no reasonable disagreement that he deserves to be in the Hall of Fame.

a surprising member of the 50/40/90 club, although one may argue that 70 3PA in a season doesn't qualify for that membership
