 Phil Ford 21 PG 6'2 175 North Carolina C+ B B B- D+ B Ford is thought by most to be one of the top prospects in this draft. He has a dynamite first step and can take almost anyone off the dribble. It’s nearly impossible for defenses to keep him out of the paint where he can create easy buckets for himself or for teammates. He has a pure shooting stroke on his jumper and shoots a high percentage from the free throw line. He should be able to develop into a consistent threat from beyond the arc. Defensively, he has the athletic tools and quick hands to be a very strong perimeter defender. He should able to grab at least a couple steals a game. His rebounding is almost non-existent, as he often leaks out to start the fast break. Ford has the potential to be a franchise changer and should be a top 5 pick in this draft. |
