can we talk about how the 76ers lost an MVP level player and are still the class of the East
wow
what GMing
the ghost of Stanley Robinson is finally exorcised
and can we talk about the amazing game the
76ers and Knicks played
Knicks down 5 with the ball and 37 seconds to go
but this is Monroe Square Garden presented by the Monroe Square Garden Company ©
this is the true Stadium of Light, the real Theater of Dreams
a brilliant tic tac toe tiki taka frees up Jimmy Jackson who drills a three
16 seconds to go, Butch Lee with the cerebral foul to put Reggie Theus on the line
Reggie has a tough time shooting free throws with both hands wrapped around his neck
makes the first
misses the second
the Knicks are out of timeouts with seven seconds left
that's why i, james dolan, personally invented the seven seconds or less offense
jimmy jackson for three
swish
tie ball game
over time
we frankly get hosed on a lot of calls in the extra period
28 seconds left with the ball in a tie ball game
gomesy gets trapped and panics
rushes a three
chris bosh with the rebound
chris bosh, on an expiring contract
chris bosh, his eyes literally turned into cartoon dollar signs
chris bosh, running the break
chris bosh, bricking a straight on foul line jumper
chris bosh, the ball ricocheting into his hands
chris bosh, gimme the ball and i'm gonna shoot
chris bosh, hitting the same spot on the bottom of the rim
jae crowder, desperately boxing out his own teammate and throwing up a prayer
chris bosh, coming down with the rebound rather than, you know, going up for a putback
tie game
overovertime
i don't wanna point fingers
i don't want to undermine public confidence in the integrity of our officials and league
i'm just wondering how literally the only foul in 2OT that i remember gets called on superstar Finals MVP Butch Lee
number six
at home
in a marquee atlantic matchup (as if there's any other kind)
just wondering why the game was obviously fixed
just asking the question whether anyone with half a brain believes that clotheslining chris bosh is really a foul
i personally apologized to butch lee for the so-called "referee" intentionally screwing him over and banned him for life
the ref, i mean
it was a bad (or sick!) ending to an otherwise spectacular game of basketball
you know when you're cruising your little yacht out to your big yacht so you can take your helicopter back to shore
and the hummer limo driver hasn't even strewn flower petals on the helipad
that's how this game felt
a great experience but really ruined by the ending
tip of the hat to the Knicks and the 76ers
both teams played hard
both teams played hard, my man
