In this article i will rank players who are 35+
1. Elgin Baylor, 35
Efficiency and blocks are down but everything else is par for the course. Baylor is so clearly the best player eligible for this list. Elite defense, good percentages, great turnovers...there's nothing this guy can't do.
2. Jesse Epstein, 35
Some will argue that he belongs at #1 and to those people I say "perhaps you are right." After his initial neutering, Epstein has pretty much done the same thing every year, and more often than not it was at well below market value. We'll always wonder what the real Epstein could have done and if it would have rivaled the all time greats like 2.0 Nick Diaz and 4.0 Magic Johnson.
3. Alonzo Mourning, 36
These last couple of years in the Couv have been some of the best of Zo's career. Elite defense, great rebounding, and percentages that are higher than they should be make for a really solid 37 year-old. Luckily, his scoring volume has decreased over the years so really he's just gaining value as he ages, much like Jahlil Okafor.
4. Jonathan Bender, 37
He's playing less minutes but still putting up very similar per 36 numbers compared to the rest of his career. Ward doesn't need him to start and be a top 3 player and that seems to be exactly what Bender was looking for at this age.
5. Dominique Wilkins, 36
These are much better numbers than I expected to see. Elite stocks and handles, great percentages, low scoring volume. Obviously the biggest issue here is the low rebounding, but for a guy who is 36 I will take what I can get, and I imagine delap agrees.
6. Audie Norris, 35
Elite blocks, good percentages. Another min Eric big. Nothing to see here.
7. Harold Miner, 35
Efficient scoring but not much else. Miner's scoring volume and handling have begun to decline, he's never been good at defense, and I chose KCP over him. All things considered, he's a pretty good player but there's a reason the Clippers are so bad.
8. Otto Porter, 35
Meh, but he's not bad. Decent starter if all of the other starters are All-Stars. Poor starter if it's well, the cavs.
9. Victor Oladipo, 36
Good stocks and handles, shit efficiency currently. As poor as he is playing now he's still doing more than he did riding heebs bench throughout his prime.
10. Brandon Knight, 40
Turnovers are still crazy high and he's fucking 40, but he's still producing. Again, this guy is still in the league at 40. I wonder how many times 20s had resimmed retirings to make this happen.
Better luck next year:
Shane Battier
Sergey Karasev
Nerlens Noel
Brian Newell
Isidoro Meyers
