the Pacers are relocating to New Orleans as the Pelicans the Nets are relocating to Indiana as the Pacers here is where the divisions stand atlanticboston indiana miami new york orlando philadelphia washington centralatlanta charlotte chicago cleveland memphis milwaukee new orleans toronto midwestdallas houston kansas city minnesota oklahoma city san antonio utah pacificgolden state los angeles los angeles phoenix portland seattle vancouver to help everyone out, here's the geography. blue is atlantic, red is central, green is midwest, purple is pacific  and here's one with orange boxes for former locations of active teams and brown Xs for locations of defunct teams. there are many cities that have had many teams - for example chicago has had the bulls zephyrs packers and stags, san diego has had the clippers rockets sails conquistadors  |

Raptors to the Atlantic, Nets-Pacers to the Central makes sense.
Now that the Knicks are in no-man's land without their picks or cap space, the divisions are pretty even.

another possible realignment BLOCKBUSTER
-pacific stays the same
-utah moves to denver, stays in the midwest, team can wear regular underwear again
-boston, new york, philadelphia, washington, toronto, cleveland, chicago, milwaukee in the Northern Division
-indiana, memphis, new orleans, atlanta, charlotte, miami, orlando in the Confederacy
