I am looking at currently players performing in the current season and how I see them moving forward. With that said, here we go...
25) Derek Anderson SG Grades B A- B- B C C San Diego
3047 Stats
Games: 26MPG: 34.2
PPG: 25.7
RPG: 6.0
APG: 3.7
SPG: 1.5
BPG: 0.2
TOPG: 1.7
FG %: .464
FT %: .866
3P %: .415
Derek is entering his 3rd season with the Clippers and is scoring consisntantly at an effient clip since he entered the league. You would like to see a little more rebounding and defense and hopefully those grow slightly but he is definitly a player you can win with in your lineup. Hopefully he has not plateaued in his 3rd season with that C potential.
24. Justin Patton C - Grades B+ C D+ A- A- B Milwaukee
3047 Stats
Games: 30
MPG: 33.6
PPG: 17.5
RPG: 10.0
APG: 1.1
SPG: 0.7
BPG: 2.8
TOPG: 1.2
FG %: .480
FT %: .788
3P %: .250
Justin is entering his first contract after his rookie deal expired and is showing some good sings of life thus far on the season. He is scoring effientely and playing solid defense. You would like to see the rebounding numbers a little higher but a very good young effient 2 way big.
23. Rik Smits C - Grades B+ C D A- B- B Portland
3047 stats
Games: 28
MPG: 34.2
PPG: 18.9
RPG: 10.1
APG: 1.0
SPG: 0.4
BPG: 2.6
TOPG: 1.6
FG %: .464
FT %: .811
3P %: .000
The Dunking Dutchman is entering his first season here in sim league and thus far he looks like a real good 2 way big. Over time I think you will see his blocks and rebounding numbers rise and if he can keep this scoring efficency together, he will be a very good piece to this portland young core.
22. Jayson Tatum SG Grades B- A C- B- C+ C - Golden State
3047 stats
Games: 27
MPG: 33.2
PPG: 21.7
RPG: 6.7
APG: 1.9
SPG: 0.8
BPG: 0.9
TOPG: 1.8
FG %: .462
FT %: .925
3P %: .444
Tatum was recently traded from the Lakers to Golden State. Almost a block a game, almost a steal a game on the season with good scoring efficency. I think his rebounding will come around to the mid 7 range like his previous 2 seasons and hopefully moving up the scoring option chart will increase his offensive output.
21. Jayson D Williams PG Grades B B+ A- B C- A Portland
3047 stats
Games: 34
MPG: 37.7
PPG: 25.3
RPG: 4.6
APG: 10.5
SPG: 1.2
BPG: 0.2
TOPG: 2.2
FG %: .464
FT %: .834
3P %: .389
Jayson is entering his 2nd season after having a tremendous rookie campaign. Looks like a tremendous future PG for this Blazers team, the only concern would be on the defensive end. Hopefully that increases for him over time.
20. Jaylen Brown SF Grades B B+ C+ B+ B B Utah
3047 stats
Games: 32
MPG: 35.6
PPG: 21.2
RPG: 9.6
APG: 4.0
SPG: 0.8
BPG: 0.5
TOPG: 2.7
FG %: .479
FT %: .887
3P %: .436
Brown is entering the last year of his rookie deal and is showing signs of breaking through. The scoring efficency is right where you would want it to be but he is not consistant on the volume of shots. He is a tremendous rebounder on the wing. The 2 concerns are the turnovers and his defense improving.
19. Ben Bentil SF Grades B B- D+ B B+ B Portland
3047 stats
Games: 27
MPG: 34.6
PPG: 23.5
RPG: 8.8
APG: 1.3
SPG: 1.2
BPG: 1.7
TOPG: 1.1
FG %: .502
FT %: .867
3P %: .458
Ben is entering his 4th year in the league and is on his 2nd contract as a former 2nd round pick. He is a monster on the boards and plays great defense and if this scoring efficency holds up will be one of the best wings in the league on a tremendous contract for the next 5 seasons.
18. Keith Van Horn - PF Grades B A D C+ A- B Memphis
3047 stats
Games: 29
MPG: 34.2
PPG: 22.7
RPG: 8.0
APG: 1.2
SPG: 1.2
BPG: 0.4
TOPG: 0.8
FG %: .433
FT %: .922
3P %: .463
Keith is entering his 3rd season in the league and still has some solid growth potential. I am hopeful that his shooting % will rise more to what we saw in his rookie season. Listed as a PF/SF is more of a SF and a very good one at that. Solid rebounding for the wing and hopefully the defense improves a touch.
17. Mitch Richmond SG Grades B- A- C C C+ A Fort Wayne
3047 stats
Games: 35
MPG: 34.9
PPG: 28.1
RPG: 6.6
APG: 2.4
SPG: 1.0
BPG: 0.1
TOPG: 2.2
FG %: .507
FT %: .893
3P %: .454
Mitch is in his first season and the scoring is tremendous, also the rebounding for a shooting guard is real good as well. The only real knock on him is the defense but hopefully that will increase over time.
16. Tracy McGrady SF Grades A- B+ C+ A- B A Toronto
3047 Stats
Games: 16
MPG: 35.2
PPG: 23.8
RPG: 7.6
APG: 3.7
SPG: 0.8
BPG: 1.2
TOPG: 0.9
FG %: .439
FT %: .863
3P %: .339
Tracy is entering his 3rd season in sim league, I realy like where his defense is and I still think that over time that his efficency will continue to rise, add that with his low tunovers. He is still only 21 years old and still has a lot of time to grow on the offensive end.
15. Sviatoslav Mykhailiuk SG Grades B- A C A- C B Portland
3047 stats
Games: 34
MPG: 39.7
PPG: 25.5
RPG: 7.2
APG: 2.9
SPG: 2.3
BPG: 0.6
TOPG: 1.1
FG %: .450
FT %: .926
3P %: .426
Another great young player for Portland, I really like his all around game at the moment. He is a good rebounder for a SG and his defense is very good for the SG spot. The only thing you could nitpick on is the amount of shots that he is currently taking seem to be a little down. I think that is more to do with more talent being put in around the Portland lineup that are putting up shots than the player himself.
14. Frank Ntilikina PG Grades B- B A A- C B St. Louis
3047 stats
Games: 28
MPG: 39.0
PPG: 27.2
RPG: 7.0
APG: 9.0
SPG: 2.3
BPG: 1.1
TOPG: 2.1
FG %: .455
FT %: .918
3P %: .459
He would be much higher on my list if he showed any signs of this efficency in prior seasons. On the defensive end and rebounding, he is an absolute stud but as the season goes on his offensive efficency keeps to dip. If he maintains it at the current level he is one of the premier or possibly the top point guards of the league.
13. Dillon Brooks SF Grades B A- A- B+ B- C Houston
3047 stats
Games: 29
MPG: 35.3
PPG: 29.8
RPG: 7.5
APG: 3.9
SPG: 1.6
BPG: 0.4
TOPG: 1.8
FG %: .505
FT %: .893
3P %: .415
Signed on a max contract this offseason by Houston there were a few GMs that questioned the move. It appears he has taken the next step up in his game on the offensive end. The defensive end is about the only area of concern in his game and even that is acceptable with what you are getting on the offensive end.
12. Josh Jackson SF Grades B A- C+ B+ B+ C Memphis
3047 stats
Games: 29
MPG: 37.8
PPG: 21.5
RPG: 9.0
APG: 3.9
SPG: 1.4
BPG: 0.3
TOPG: 2.1
FG %: .430
FT %: .901
3P %: .390
Josh signed a max contract this offseason with Memphis. I have him on about the same level as Brooks but I put him one notch higher because I feel that he has proven himself in prior seasons where Brooks has really done it over 30 games. I think you will see the efficency numbers of Josh rise and be about the same level as Brooks by the end of the season.
11. Rex Chapman PG Grades B- B+ C+ A- C- A Memphis
3047 stats
Games: 27
MPG: 34.3
PPG: 18.5
RPG: 3.4
APG: 8.7
SPG: 1.6
BPG: 0.1
TOPG: 3.3
FG %: .479
FT %: .844
3P %: .417
Rex is in his rookie year and has a ton of time to grow. You are seeing his efficency at a level that is screaming star, I am also a little surprised with his turnovers only at 3.3 with a C+ grade. I think he has the potential to be a top tier point guard in the league with some future TC luck and love in SC/RC.
10. Chris Bosh C Grades A- B- C A- A- C Seattle
3047 stats
Games: 26
MPG: 37.6
PPG: 21.9
RPG: 13.7
APG: 2.0
SPG: 0.8
BPG: 3.3
TOPG: 1.2
FG %: .453
FT %: .852
3P %: .100
Chris is in his 2nd year in a max deal with Seattle and his numbers are every bit of what you would want to see on a max player.
9. Dan Majerle SG Grades B+ A- B- C+ C+ A Washington
3047 stats
Games: 30
MPG: 37.4
PPG: 21.0
RPG: 7.3
APG: 4.2
SPG: 0.8
BPG: 0.2
TOPG: 1.9
FG %: .465
FT %: .800
3P %: .363
Dan is entering his first year in sim league after being the 6th pick in the draft. The only knock is his defense and through time that should improve, his rebounding and scoring is right where you would want to see with his grade set. Going to be a stud.
8. Markelle Fultz PG Grades A- B+ A- A C B Toronto
3047 stats
Games: 30
MPG: 30.9
PPG: 24.2
RPG: 5.5
APG: 5.4
SPG: 2.0
BPG: 0.9
TOPG: 1.8
FG %: .465
FT %: .924
3P %: .404
He is entering the first year of his max deal after his rookie contract ended. He is currently playing SG because of Arenas but I feel in the next few seasons he will be taking over the role of PG. Once he enters that role he will be one of the best PGs in the league.
7. Yao Ming C - Grades B+ C D+ A- B A Washington
3047 stats
Games: 30
MPG: 35.0
PPG: 20.4
RPG: 11.4
APG: 1.5
SPG: 0.8
BPG: 3.1
TOPG: 1.6
FG %: .456
FT %: .874
3P %: .000
One of the twin towers in Washington that is just entering his 2nd year in the league. An absolute stud.
6. Tim Duncan C - Grades A- C C+ A A B Washington
3047 stats
Games: 30
MPG: 39.4
PPG: 27.5
RPG: 13.9
APG: 5.4
SPG: 0.9
BPG: 4.2
TOPG: 2.4
FG %: .467
FT %: .806
3P %: .000
The other portion of the Washington twin towers that is entering his 3rd year in sim league. An absolute stud that makes this front court one if not the best in sim league.
5. Kris Dunn PG Grades B A- A A+ C B Utah
3047 stats
Games: 32
MPG: 39.3
PPG: 26.1
RPG: 5.8
APG: 11.8
SPG: 2.8
BPG: 0.5
TOPG: 3.0
FG %: .483
FT %: .950
3P %: .432
One of the better defensive point guards in the league that is starting to come into his own on the offensive end. This is the last year of his rookie deal and should be a player that is highly sought after in free agency, lets see if this fucker leaves like Larry Fucking Bird.
4. Chauncey Billups PG Grades B A- B B+ C A Lakers
3047 stats
Games: 30
MPG: 37.9
PPG: 27.0
RPG: 6.4
APG: 10.1
SPG: 2.1
BPG: 0.1
TOPG: 2.7
FG %: .470
FT %: .944
3P %: .422
He is entering his 3rd year in the league and is showing why he was the 3rd pick in that draft. I love what I see in his rebounding and on the defensive end and he is very efficent on the offensive end.
3. Lonzo Ball PG Grades C+ A- A+ A C+ B Spurs
3047 stats
Games: 29
MPG: 38.2
PPG: 26.8
RPG: 5.9
APG: 10.9
SPG: 3.2
BPG: 0.4
TOPG: 2.4
FG %: .491
FT %: .946
3P %: .417
Lonzo is entering his first year of his max contract and there were some concerns in the early part of the season but he is really come around since the first sim. He is one of the best if not the best PG in sim league at the moment.
2. Ben Simmons SF Grades A- B- B A- A- A Miami
3047 stats
Games: 35
MPG: 38.5
PPG: 27.8
RPG: 10.5
APG: 4.7
SPG: 1.7
BPG: 1.2
TOPG: 1.6
FG %: .469
FT %: .868
3P %: .359
He is entering the last year of his rookie contract and will be a must max in free agency if you have the cap room. He rebounds and defends at a high level and his offensive efficency is right where you would want it to be and he still holds an A potential.
1. LeBron James SF Grades A B+ C+ B+ B B Kings
3047 stats
Games: 31
MPG: 38.0
PPG: 34.4
RPG: 8.4
APG: 4.3
SPG: 1.8
BPG: 2.3
TOPG: 2.4
FG %: .510
FT %: .867
3P %: .401
Nothing to really say about this one, he is the best wing in the league by far and the most complete player.
