Zero chance. Cop gets another night of investigation. I agree with soup, you cannot let the cop get another night Soup, Taco and Tim were all set on the cop being the target. Had they gone my way we would've killed Heebs giving Fecta no new info. Leaving us with Mafia: Bankz Tim Taco Civ: Fecta (cop) JHB Eric Majic At that point my guess is they go after Tim. We knock off JHB or Majic and work you way down... prolong the game as long as possible and hope to get lucky. Obviously the way they wanted and you agreed with left us with zero shot of winning

You were having a monologue. So I should sit back and let the mafia member talk his way into voting out a civ next time while civs vote out civs?

As long as you keep missing on the BG, you are fucked and prolonging the inevitable.

I will say this as a mafia member watching Civs openly vote off guys who were clearly civs amazed me.
The fact that people put so much consideration into what happened in past games blew me away.
BK shouldn't have been voted off. Same goes for Odin.
I was shocked to see that happen

No he was trying to get Eric gone... at that point the town is deciding that Eric has more value than BK because Eric is 100% pure. Hence why I have a big issue with Eric's playing style its free info for the town and a advantage from the start.

They're very clearly civs when you're mafia but nothing is clear when you're a civ. It's in your best interest to get rid of the people who will be of no use to you later because they have the same chance of being civs as anyone else. That's why Billy got voted out, he was just going to vote for what was essentially a verified civ until the end of the game, which made him basically a non-official member of the mafia.

They vote Tim I hit Majic Fecta investigates me town takes me out Taco hits Fecta you still have the Eric/JHB connection formed because JHB believes in Eric being so honest there is zero shot at breaking up that alliance. Another reason I hate Eric style

No it isn't. The "long con" would literally work only a single time. He has already lost a game where he was mafia because he admitted he was.

More like Liabilly T King You're dumb as fuck dude. Eric admitting he is a civ is fine, but if he admits he isn't a town day one then he is cheating. Maybe not game-to-game, but in the isntance where he admits he is mafia day one with no prodding he is cheating during that game.

Out of curiousity, what was the hold up on day 1 for 30 minutes between the announcing of the vote and the first mafia kill?

Out of curiousity, what was the hold up on day 1 for 30 minutes between the announcing of the vote and the first mafia kill? Yeah, there actually wasn't much of a holdup on our end. Maybe a few minutes due to Ankly not being able to view texts for some reason, so we thought he had seen our vote when he hadn't, then had to take it to PM here.

some quick thoughts before a longer post great job by the town after i left, wow. we all knew about timpig but putting the pieces together on the rest with no real uncertainty was real good work. cop and bg both played it just right too. I can't say I've encountered a player like eric. I talked to somebody who I played a lot of mafia with, and we were in agreement that it's not really something I should be prohibiting. Mafia rules should only restrict administrative things. What eric is doing is behavioral. i just passed the turing test. WE DID IT, MAMA Yes, this was probably the most heated debate. Ank had to give us a time warning because there was so much arguing going on. bankz and soup in heated debate, some things never change During the last vote JHB said he knew Eric was at the movies. How did JHB know that? I thought no conversation were allowed outside of the PM and thread. please see following quote: 1. bodyguard should protect fecta tonight. definitely don't protect me, i'm leaving the office and going to be afk until late afternoon, won't be able to help deliberations. if fecta is lying we lose today anyway, so we should operate under the assumption he's true. granted i only said where specifically i was going to be afk in shout, but it was in thread that i wasn't around

He did accurately out soup he was just too erratic to take advantage really it was 2 people on the civ side that voted against me on that vote, they needed all 4 mafia votes which helped us overall in the game.

He did accurately out soup he was just too erratic to take advantage He outed half the people in the fucking game. I can easily list 7 people during a game and hit on one of them being mafia.

this was my last game of mafia
i continue to believe that my strategy makes the most sense for a long term player and adds a unique wrinkle to the game. i think we could have had a lot of fun with it on both sides.
a lot of people are taking the game way too personally. not just billy, and not just about what i'm doing. we've all been at a basketball game or a softball game or whatever that we'd otherwise enjoy if not for the guys who take it way too seriously. we're not an ocean, we're a pool. and when one person takes a dump in the pool, you get out. so i'm getting out, and hopefully that will lower the overall temperature enough for the game to be fun for everyone. it's a game, it's supposed to be fun.
i'll still do the daily voting spreadsheet unless someone else wants to, i can send them the xls i'm using. that's it.
