In this article I am going to use Dean Oliver's Four Factors of Basketball Success. Oliver set out to determine how basketball teams win games. He landed on the following four factors and weights. You may disagree with these factors and weights, but I am going to use them to rank the teams in TMBSL. In the past, it was semi-successful in predicting postseason success. Note: These ratings were calculated with stats through Day 90.The Four Factors of Basketball Success
1. Shooting (Effective FG%) - 40% 2. Turnovers (TO %) - 25% 3. Rebounding (Total Reb %) - 20% 4. Free Throws (FT Rate) - 15% You can read more about the Four Factors from Dean Oliver here: www.rawbw.com/~deano/articles/20040601_roboscout.htm Total Team RankingsThese are done BCS style. That is, being rated first in a category earns you a 1.0 rating. Second is 28/29, or .966. All the way down to 1/29 for last. The ratings are then averaged with eFG% being weighted 40%, TO% 25%, Rebounding 20%, and FT Rate 15%. The Four Factors Ratings have the Bulls as TMBSL's #1 team, followed by the Nets. The Mavericks come in as the first Western Conference team at #3. There aren't any huge surprises in the final rankings, some minor differences here and there from the standings. The worst tanking teams show up at the bottom of the standings.

Interesting considering I will most likely land around the 7th or 8th pick like this is suggesting.

so after doing some research, the Dean Oliver you guys are talking about who played at Iowa is a different guy than Dean Oliver the statistician who wrote Basketball on Paper and has worked in NBA front offices.
