Let me preface this by saying I don't think heebs is doing a bad job at all. I'm really enjoying a lot of things he's doing with the profiles, but
The job consists of a lot more work right now than it has in the past due to being out of draft classes. So my question is, should we have a small group working on this until 4.0 dies rather than just one person?

If it's coming up with grades and write ups for a few guys, I'm down. Not sure what it fully entails but happy to help if I can.

Thanks for making the thread Odin.
I lost steam when it came out people don't like the non-drafted college players.
Draft classes full of novelty players is not very fun to make. It could be for people like Pete or eric that are pretty clever/witty. But I find myself trying too hard to be clever and it's boring as fuck. It's much more taxing than creating normal classes and ultimately I feel like it's not very rewarding because people don't seem to like them either.
If someone is interested in writing the novelty player profiles, I'd be interested in partnering with someone (I'll do half a class of non-drafted players, you do half a class of novelty players). Or frankly I'd be happy to give it up. I'd love to be DM when we get to 5.0 because I like making players, but novelty players are just not my cup of tea.

I honestly think the last few classes have been fine... but it looks like you have enough support to get novelty guys to fill half the class from a large swath of us.

I enjoyed this class because honestly I don't know anything about the Wu Tang Clan, so they basically just became fake players with fake bios to me, which I personally prefer to the outright novelty players like Queen Latifah or something.
I think we all prefer real players, but at this point I understand there's some difficulty in that.

And this is why I dislike novelty players. Sorry...why do you dislike them? Rappers' given names was the only novelty player idea I've been excited to use, and half the league didn't even know/bother to figure out who they were. I'm just being a little - ignore me.

I'm just being a little - ignore me. Oh, gotcha. See, I actually kind of liked that because it wasn't TOO novelty for me. They just looked like a bunch of fictional characters with interesting backgrounds.

I just think a mix of both is the best way
for me personally, I dont know any of the undrafted players, so its essentially all created guys for me
at least with a novelty class we see some recognizable names in some years mixed in with real players

Sounds like the consensus is 4.0 is at least nearing its end, so a mix of novelty guys plus a few real players we like and getting thrown in each class would be best IMO. Also, whoever suggests a prospect to be created could create their profile.
