The former HS rival of Baron Davis, Brunner initially attended Georgetown before legal troubles forced him to transfer to Fresno State. Brunner is electric with the ball in his hands, darting inside and putting his body to work like Allen Iverson. His mid range game could use some work and he is merely an average free throw shooter. He has quick hands that will lead to plenty of steals at the expense of his defensive fundamentals (read: he's not a good perimeter defender). His size and work ethic also make him a sub-optimal rebounder, although he often crashes the offensive glass for crowd pleasing put back dunks.
