Sherman is a defensive stopper that will single-handedly shut down any player he guards. He does his best work as a perimeter defender, but has the lateral quickness to stop drives and the strength to defend the post as well. He also puts up decent defensive production stats. Offensively, he isn't very polished. He has the fundamentals down and was a capable offensive player in college, but except some struggles at this level. He will need to really work on his inside game and 3 point shot to be a capable player. The good news is scouts believe he has the potential to make strides offensively.
