i was 100% sure on tim. i had been saying it the entire game thread. but i wasn't sure on the other. i thought it was soup. but i didn't shoot because soup could have been aragorn. which is exactly what i said in the dead civ pm What did the other matter? You had a shot on a known mafia and decided to keep it in your pocket... I'm ok with the blame because I told Pete/town to trust my judgement. But this is a horrendous call by you. he wasn't a known mafia member. I understand why Odin was hesitant to do it |

couple of overall thoughts on Mafia now that I have played a few more games
#1 - i hate the tactic of "reveal roles" and just plainly stating what you are. The whole point of the game is that no one knows who everyone is and you have to work to figure it out. Revealing roles to weed people out basically turns everything into "who do we believe more". I know this doesnt always work but in general i hate that when no one is making progress to get someone out people just turn to "well lets just start revealing roles then".. i also have no idea how to fix this problem as some roles need to be revealed in the course of the game
#2 - i dont like any role that can communicate with the dead, even if for a minute. I dont mind that someone can get come back, or even possibly get a piece of information. but if someone has a chance to communicate with someone that is technially a "dead" characters i dont really like it

this reminds me of when BK and I were sending a message from the dead civ thread and he was convinced that we needed to tell the people in the game that it was for sure 20s and JHB or something like that despite having no more information than what was in the game. I said to say that I was suspicious of them, not that it was 100% certain stop misremembering shit to make me look as bad as Bankz |

I was given zero info from the PM. One person made one post before I was kicked out of it. I went and quickly read the PM and based my vote's on that. Odin never took a shot on Tim and said he was going to take a shot at Soup if he had taken the last shot. I took that as him not being convinced Tim was mafia. The loss for the town is on me. I take full blame. this is all fine. But please if this situation comes up again, let us know that you don't have rock solid info. I'm sorry... I did have a post all typed up and was going to hit send. It explained everything in detail and how I wasn't truly sure on the final mafia. But I got occupied with a league matter i'm commish on and lost track of time. Again this loss is 100% on me. |

Odin - if you knew you were going to be killed why didnt you use your last shot? Soup - who did you investigate the night that you got killed? Fecta. I was certain odin took a shot his last night. I was about 80% sure it would have been on tim. I was 20% that it might have been gbg due to his vote in OT. So I figured he would have the sauron of the group figured out. |

I then could've come out with that plus my play on Fecta. Instead I got a single post from Druce and nothing more in the 5 minutes or so to get caught up on the thread. |

I agree, open communication would have been very helpful. Like maybe when I ask why Fecta and GBG are the mafia you communicate what you know and we can make a decision together. |

Also, IMO, one key thing Delap did that I wasn't a fan of was confirming how the roles were listed out. That matted in the last LOTR set up, when GBG claimed a role incorrectly. It could have been a way for the true vanilla civs to confirm their roles with each other and outing a maf who failed to read the OP correctly.
Delap did fantastic, that was my only gripe, just saying
