preseason and summer league. 1. John Stockston There are some warning signs with the efficiency, first of all that he didn't play a ton of minutes. As always shooting 50% from the field as a guard is really, really, really hard. But he doesn't take threes, so it's not as improbable as others. And look, if you have a point guard giving you 4+ ast:tov 2+ blk/36 2+ stl/36, you'll take whatever scoring you can get. Rebounding is on the weak side too, for whatever that's worth (not much). In a class where everyone has a legit weakness, so far Stock is the total package. Some people carry the jazz piano. Some people play the jazz piano. . 2. Rob Gronkowski He's not SF eligible so he needs to get that blocking up, and the rebounding leaves a little to be desired too, but you gotta love that scoring. Could easily blossom into a Dirk Nowitzki type down the road. Funny how all these polaks do so well in the software. Funny coincidence. . 3. William Buford Outside Grade pegs BillBu as a big time regression candidate in the upwards direction. Is a reasonable defender but has fumble fingers. . 4. Tommie Frazier Tommie "Down Goes" Frazier gave you slick scoring in preseason and summer league. Also a decent rebounder and ball handler and good thing because the defensive counting stats are catastrophic. Might not break one bleal even in starter minutes. . 5. Zack Novak Novakaine is a slightly worse version of the Gun. He's also a combo guard with B- Handling so he needs to stay at PG if he wants to play at PG. But he has decent efficiency, and B Inside PGs don't come around all that often. . 6. Larry Van Exel Larry "Louis" Van Gae'el was just a guy in preseason, but showed some electric efficiency in summer league. Outside Grade estimates his Jump Shot at 58 and Three Shot at 88, which is not the way you want that ratio, so if he doesn't find that form he'll drop soon. . 7. Randy Moss The Southern Dandy Randy shocked the world by signing an endorsement deal with Tandy Computers, and also by completely crapping the bed in summer league. But his preseason efficiency was stellar, projecting him out at probably league average efficiency. With defense that would be best in class if not for two certain so-and-sos, that probability is enough to keep him on the ladder for now. . 8. Antwaan Randle-El Randle-El's summer league was just as bad and his preseason not as good. He can't hold a candle to moss because you know what would happen? It would burn up. also he's not as good. . 9. Tony Gonzalez Another step down in this progression. Tony G's summer league was so bad... ...is anyone gonna say how bad was it? Anybody? Heh heh, is this thing on? Tony G's summer league was so bad he had to change his name to Tony F! F for farts! No but seriously folks, it was bad. His preseason looked decent but with his minuscule shot blocking SF is his only plausible position. . 10. Bradley Bleal If his offensive numbers are indicative of Stock's, we're gonna have a new number one in short order. I would try and make him the new Josh Smith. His scoring volume is under ten, his blocks are over four, all you need is some dynamite rebounding TCs and badda bing badda boom betty boop you got yourself the second greatest defensive small forward of all time. He was near 9 reb/36 in summer league too, so he's probably not that far off. . stats pts/tsa blk/36 ast:tov reb/36 pts/36 JSH 3SH xp/t mp Player 1.093 2.16 4.33 3.24 21.96 110.63 2.37 1.093 260 John Stockston PG 1.070 1.96 1.27 11.25 21.42 94.57 18.43 1.074 1178 Rob Gronkowski PF 1.036 0.32 1.00 5.05 18.00 84.18 76.82 1.110 342 William Buford SG 1.129 0.22 3.25 5.27 24.15 86.83 49.17 1.095 492 Tommie Frazier PG 1.078 0.39 2.60 3.52 16.43 75.36 60.64 1.074 267 Zack Novak PG 1.071 0.53 3.33 4.53 15.47 57.72 88.28 1.064 392 Larry Van Exel PG 1.256 0.99 1.33 6.61 12.88 68.86 67.14 1.174 262 Randy Moss SG 1.170 0.00 1.40 7.75 13.50 95.52 50.48 1.097 389 Antwaan Randle-El SG 1.091 0.22 1.23 9.56 20.44 77.22 68.78 1.085 940 Tony Gonzalez SF 0.734 4.15 1.67 6.58 7.62 80.87 32.13 0.730 270 Bradley Bleal SF 0.857 0.25 1.67 7.75 13.25 64.34 71.66 0.937 418 Andrew Steele SG 1.026 2.00 0.00 10.00 18.00 110.63 -41.63 1.026 18 Angel Garcia C 0.928 0.47 2.06 8.42 14.49 81.04 44.96 0.932 693 Antonio Gates PF 0.741 0.28 1.25 10.49 8.22 47.14 21.86 0.772 368 Blake Church C 1.134 0.00 0.00 11.25 36.00 110.63 -54.63 1.134 16 Colton Iverson C 1.033 0.88 2.22 9.25 11.75 93.00 33.00 1.024 864 DeAndre Liggins SF 0.967 1.80 2.75 10.58 15.53 52.91 3.09 0.967 432 Delvon Roe PF 0.948 7.20 #DIV/0! 7.20 14.40 110.63 -41.63 0.948 5 Emmanuel Negedu PF 1.019 0.27 0.64 5.14 6.50 72.84 40.16 1.015 771 Hahn Crawford SG 0.762 0.40 0.97 4.04 9.30 22.45 90.55 0.888 516 Jeremiah English PG 0.733 0.00 1.20 7.88 8.44 110.63 2.37 0.828 109 Jimmy Graham SF 0.752 2.18 1.33 11.45 7.36 40.09 28.91 0.752 356 J'Mison Morgan C 0.935 1.66 1.23 13.73 16.54 45.93 10.07 0.935 934 Jonathan Ogden C 0.791 1.11 0.50 10.52 9.42 63.02 -7.02 0.791 111 Kenny Frease C 0.860 0.00 #DIV/0! 15.88 13.76 31.27 81.73 0.993 34 Kevin Jones PF 1.000 0.62 2.25 10.46 8.62 86.83 26.17 0.941 749 Kris Joseph SF 1.174 0.00 0.00 16.62 8.31 110.63 -54.63 1.174 13 Kyle Hayes C 1.098 0.00 1.00 5.14 10.29 31.27 59.73 0.866 35 Malik McAdoo SF 1.200 1.20 0.75 12.00 8.40 75.36 -6.36 1.200 72 Michael Dunigan C 0.920 1.46 1.18 10.76 8.77 70.95 -1.95 0.920 786 Mitchell Endacott C 0.998 0.27 4.63 4.27 16.80 93.63 42.37 0.979 324 Randall Cunningham SG 0.665 0.96 0.50 7.68 4.80 81.77 54.23 0.762 195 Richard Sherman SG 1.096 1.03 #DIV/0! 6.17 19.54 84.18 -28.18 1.096 35 Rico Gathers PF 0.991 0.00 10.00 4.80 16.00 90.79 22.21 1.026 113 Rocky Liston PG 1.011 1.84 1.40 9.34 11.03 73.60 17.40 1.011 635 Samardo Samuels PF 0.822 0.13 1.00 5.91 8.87 77.41 58.59 0.841 777 Scott Suggs SG 1.048 0.62 2.20 4.76 13.86 106.46 19.54 1.012 487 Scotty Hopson SG 0.756 0.72 1.00 5.04 5.04 110.63 35.37 1.027 60 Sean Mosley SG 0.733 0.00 0.00 3.27 4.36 #DIV/0! #DIV/0! #DIV/0! 36 Tom Litwack SF 0.784 2.29 1.00 9.71 9.71 12.95 33.05 0.784 120 William Gale C

day 30 update. 1. Antwaan Randle-El - LR #8Everybody hit the wall this update. Giving the top spot to AR-E for now but he's far from set in stone. Scoring is surpassing preseason expectations for now. . 2. Zack Novak - LR #5Big Analgesic boosted his scoring a little and his rebounding a ton. Handles still need work but they grow well for point guards. . 3. Tony Gonzalez - LR #9Watch out Steven Gerard, there's a new Namie G in town. Another player ahead of their preseason scoring, so another player likely to fall back to earth, and the handling and defense are still concerns. . 4. Rob Gronkowski - LR #2Gronk's scoring dipped and his d/r are still poor for a big man, but he's good enough across the board to have a great ceiling. The sooner he gets those Shot Blocking SCs the better. . 5. John Stockston - LR #1Scoring fell off a cliff, but as a low volume low minutes guy he's got plenty of time to bounce back to preseason/summer form. Rebounding remains comical, defense and handling remain outstanding, remains PG eligible. . 6. Jimmy Graham - LR unrankedLil' Nabisco is wildly outshooting his Outside Grade and projects as a league average scorer on the wing. His blocks and boards look phenomenal but since he's probably playing mostly at PF according to the DC they're probably merely very good. All told he'd be in the conversation for top spot if he hadn't been absolutely atrocious before the season or if his volume was high enough to take his efficiency a little more seriously. One to watch. . 7. Steve Young - LR unrankedOutside Grade really likes Young to bounce back from his currently vomitous percentages. With no preseason and limited minutes it's hard to say for sure but he looks like very strong handles and very poor defense. . 8. Ed Jones- LR unrankedVery nice looking d/r man. Biggest hole is rebounding but it's already okay. . 9. Bradley Bleal - LR #10Before the season he was Andrew Wiggins level bad, showing no will to win whatsoever. I'm not a blealeiver yet (yes, you can use that, that one's on the house) but if he can keep his scoring to this mediocre level he can at least be sim Jae Crowder, which is a lot higher than his ceiling looked shooting 30% from the field. . 10. Ralph Sampson III- LR unrankedSublime jump shot and handling, great shot blocking for a point guard. Unfortunately he's a center, and his rebounding makes Ed Jones look like Anthony Davis. Reminds me a lot of a young sim Dirk Nowitzki (SamIII2NY?) but needs to get that shot blocking up post haste. . stats pts/tsa blk/36 ast:tov reb/36 pts/36 JSH 3SH xp/t mp Player 1.210 0.43 2.00 7.75 13.77 85.83 60.17 1.133 452 Antwaan Randle-El SG 1.086 0.28 1.57 4.71 15.65 84.89 51.11 1.096 546 Zack Novak PG 1.102 0.51 0.92 8.11 24.34 82.97 63.03 1.097 710 Tony Gonzalez SF 1.012 1.83 1.47 9.78 27.30 88.64 24.36 1.005 670 Rob Gronkowski PF 0.970 1.45 5.20 2.32 15.10 88.74 24.26 0.970 211 John Stockston PG 1.144 2.37 0.89 12.66 12.07 87.12 25.88 1.071 328 Jimmy Graham SF 0.935 0.00 5.33 3.82 10.09 57.72 88.28 1.055 304 Steve Young PG 0.834 3.63 1.14 11.72 4.60 85.03 5.97 0.834 464 Ed Jones C 1.038 1.98 1.50 7.20 13.04 71.92 41.08 1.034 587 Bradley Bleal SF 1.095 1.20 3.80 9.57 12.44 95.94 17.06 1.079 602 Ralph Sampson III C 0.994 0.56 1.44 7.69 15.56 72.84 63.16 1.015 307 Andrew Steele SG 1.242 0.00 0.00 6.32 14.53 110.63 -41.63 1.242 17 Angel Garcia C 1.064 0.92 1.82 8.03 14.45 70.95 55.05 1.045 691 Antonio Gates PF 0.846 0.89 0.44 9.07 5.95 63.02 5.98 0.846 436 Ater Majok C 1.010 0.73 1.42 7.20 18.06 58.74 32.26 0.976 531 Barry Sanders SG 0.865 0.33 1.86 10.85 7.56 63.60 5.40 0.899 416 Blake Church C 0.959 0.31 0.67 9.38 4.15 78.89 12.11 0.999 281 Bradley Saperstein PF 0.745 1.26 1.00 12.00 15.16 57.72 -1.72 0.745 51 Colton Iverson C 0.638 0.00 #DIV/0! 6.30 11.70 110.63 50.37 1.053 12 Deividas Dulkys SG 0.747 1.47 0.63 8.82 10.04 60.31 -4.31 0.747 265 Delvon Roe PF 0.900 1.35 0.20 12.34 18.25 79.77 -10.77 0.900 256 Emmanuel Negedu PF 0.832 0.77 1.00 6.77 11.81 70.95 42.05 0.873 353 Hahn Crawford SG 1.021 0.99 1.07 4.68 17.75 80.87 55.13 1.015 263 Hayden Wyss PG 1.129 0.56 0.75 10.05 16.47 94.21 51.79 1.121 232 Jared Berggren C 1.068 0.21 0.67 6.74 5.89 63.95 62.05 0.985 342 Jason Clark SG 0.796 0.47 0.89 4.44 17.06 44.50 68.50 0.837 293 Jeremiah English PG 0.942 0.66 2.18 7.09 15.06 106.46 19.54 0.912 455 Jim Thorpe SG 0.849 3.27 0.71 12.06 9.82 57.72 11.28 0.849 293 J'Mison Morgan C 0.700 0.00 2.33 8.73 7.64 #DIV/0! #DIV/0! 0.700 20 Joel Walker C 1.015 2.05 0.80 12.62 20.05 51.95 4.05 1.015 699 Jonathan Ogden C 1.333 2.25 #DIV/0! 13.50 9.00 #DIV/0! #DIV/0! 1.333 16 Kenny Frease C 0.954 0.83 1.57 9.78 10.72 88.85 24.15 0.926 623 Kevin Jones PF 0.689 2.25 1.00 13.50 15.75 31.27 81.73 0.845 11 Kris Joseph SF 1.050 0.00 #DIV/0! 6.81 6.81 #DIV/0! #DIV/0! 1.050 11 Kyle Hayes C 0.969 0.61 0.64 5.29 7.71 40.09 50.91 0.973 452 Malik McAdoo SF 0.918 2.95 1.00 11.11 13.08 56.28 12.72 0.918 486 Mitchell Endacott C 0.959 0.26 1.79 6.89 14.55 77.79 58.21 0.977 479 Randall Cunningham SG 0.961 1.38 1.00 6.90 13.38 86.21 49.79 0.977 576 Randy Moss SG 0.931 1.03 2.00 10.03 7.20 31.27 104.73 0.895 238 Richard Sherman SG 0.500 0.00 #DIV/0! 12.00 24.00 #DIV/0! #DIV/0! 0.500 3 Rico Gathers PF 0.674 0.83 1.00 8.31 4.71 45.28 23.72 0.674 260 Rocky Hickcox PF 0.898 0.00 5.67 6.42 14.61 110.63 2.37 0.867 141 Rocky Liston PG 2.400 0.00 #DIV/0! 5.40 32.40 #DIV/0! #DIV/0! #DIV/0! 8 Ronald Elliott PF 1.271 0.00 1.67 20.57 18.51 4.81 86.19 1.271 14 Sam Stankovic C 0.977 1.70 2.60 11.29 10.22 80.11 10.89 0.977 304 Samardo Samuels PF 0.930 0.11 1.00 6.81 18.16 104.29 31.71 0.918 400 Scott Suggs SG 0.941 0.99 2.00 3.63 14.86 43.80 82.20 0.968 174 Scotty Hopson SG 0.874 0.00 0.78 5.76 4.90 87.96 58.04 0.824 250 Sean Mosley SG 0.780 0.78 0.75 6.39 4.83 52.16 38.84 0.781 439 Tom Litwack SF 0.998 0.21 5.13 4.85 26.82 83.10 52.90 1.029 803 Tommie Frazier PG 0.842 1.78 0.41 8.89 13.19 24.27 21.73 0.842 462 William Gale C

day 60. 1. Antwaan Randle-El - LR #1Pretty easy number one. True efficiency is probably more like 1.12 than 1.17, but I'll take it. . 2. Zack Novak - LR #2Gotta get back, back Zack Novak, Samurai Jack. Druce needs to get a Jump Shot SC into this guy ASAP. . 3. Tony Gonzalez - LR #3The efficiency is starting to dip, which for a guy with fumble fingers and not much defense isn't good. With so few good traditional builds in the class he stays up for now. . 4. John Stockston - LR #5Of the two defenders he's got the better efficiency, but it's still not good. He also has an excellent Jump Shot though, so I like him better going forward. . 5. Steve Young - LR #7Steve "Lil Grit" Young continues to soak it from outside and flash electric handles. Has a lot of room to grow in Jump Shot, which should help out the middling volume. . 6. Colton Iverson- LR unrankedThe Alredick Hughes Memorial Sixth Place Rung goes to Colton Iverson. Over about four games' worth of minutes he's shown top three in class rebounding, top three in class big man shot blocking, nearly perimeter level scoring efficiency. Whether he's actually a Mustang Sally or a Little Horsey How About Some Hay remains to be seen. One thing's for sure, 3 Ninjas is easily the most underrated movie trilogy of all time mentioned in this post. . 7. Bradley Bleal - LR #9He's almost broken the 1.00 pts/tsa barrier, even though Outside Grade says it's a mirage. Better defensive stats than Stock but between the positions, efficiencies, and preseasons I'm comfortable having him lower. . 8. Ed Jones- LR #8d/r man . 9. Rob Gronkowski - LR #4Gronk got a little crunk as his blocking dips to red flag levels. You want a guy to finish his rookie season at 2 or better, and he's trending towards 1.5. It's not unsalvageable, but it's a concern. . 10. Tommie Frazier - LR unrankedFrazier creeps back onto the ladder on the hope that his Outside Grade accurately portends a jump in efficiency. Even though that only brings him to 1.04 and the defense remains problematic, the handling and rebounding are there. . stats pts/tsa blk/36 ast:tov reb/36 pts/36 JSH 3SH xp/t mp Player 1.172 0.28 1.50 7.73 13.78 96.83 49.17 1.122 1075 Antwaan Randle-El SG 1.088 0.26 1.90 4.86 16.29 75.84 60.16 1.081 1206 Zack Novak PG 1.042 0.46 1.15 8.51 23.35 82.38 63.62 1.064 1252 Tony Gonzalez SF 1.006 1.69 3.71 3.94 16.59 91.74 21.26 1.006 512 John Stockston PG 1.025 0.27 5.67 3.76 12.90 72.32 73.68 1.100 590 Steve Young PG 1.042 2.88 2.00 12.24 22.32 51.11 4.89 1.042 135 Colton Iverson C 0.999 2.03 1.12 7.30 14.50 70.95 42.05 0.980 1491 Bradley Bleal SF 1.050 3.21 0.80 12.45 5.92 86.04 4.96 1.050 1197 Ed Jones C 1.005 1.44 1.33 10.27 25.62 91.88 21.12 1.000 1500 Rob Gronkowski PF 1.010 0.21 4.93 4.58 27.57 80.56 55.44 1.042 1557 Tommie Frazier PG 0.995 0.57 2.22 7.85 16.28 67.80 68.20 1.040 696 Andrew Steele SG 1.096 0.00 0.50 12.00 18.67 78.89 -9.89 1.096 27 Angel Garcia C 1.047 0.79 1.78 8.58 14.56 72.71 53.29 1.027 1276 Antonio Gates PF 1.004 1.34 0.60 10.16 7.92 67.15 1.85 1.004 1085 Ater Majok C 0.983 0.60 1.58 6.44 18.36 59.74 31.26 0.986 1268 Barry Sanders SG 0.875 0.16 1.40 11.38 7.64 48.63 20.37 0.884 947 Blake Church C 0.814 0.32 0.89 9.20 2.85 80.11 10.89 0.832 908 Bradley Saperstein PF 0.674 0.00 0.25 4.27 9.76 110.63 50.37 0.832 65 Deividas Dulkys SG 0.889 1.78 0.78 9.56 13.33 57.72 -1.72 0.889 648 Delvon Roe PF 0.879 1.50 0.44 11.17 17.50 74.28 -5.28 0.879 864 Emmanuel Negedu PF 0.887 0.48 0.65 5.63 15.11 86.58 26.42 0.938 918 Hahn Crawford SG 0.972 0.72 1.00 5.04 15.60 70.95 65.05 0.948 675 Hayden Wyss PG 1.153 0.54 0.50 10.56 17.32 97.76 48.24 1.165 559 Jared Berggren C 1.046 0.22 0.80 6.71 5.81 72.15 53.85 1.051 741 Jason Clark SG 0.848 0.23 0.84 3.83 18.23 64.34 48.66 0.906 656 Jeremiah English PG 0.995 0.96 1.91 7.26 14.74 92.39 33.61 0.979 977 Jim Thorpe SG 0.982 1.78 0.75 12.67 10.00 71.83 41.17 0.962 583 Jimmy Graham SF 0.964 3.08 1.00 11.63 11.35 58.27 10.73 0.964 951 J'Mison Morgan C 0.765 0.00 1.33 9.00 9.00 110.63 -54.63 0.765 38 Joel Walker C 0.959 2.11 0.71 12.14 19.21 57.36 -1.36 0.959 1364 Jonathan Ogden C 0.574 1.14 3.00 16.00 5.14 110.63 -54.63 0.574 57 Kenny Frease C 0.935 0.64 1.18 10.04 10.83 92.55 20.45 0.903 904 Kevin Jones PF 0.830 0.72 3.50 6.48 12.24 75.36 37.64 0.813 105 Kris Joseph SF 0.400 0.00 #DIV/0! 7.53 3.35 #DIV/0! #DIV/0! 0.400 39 Kyle Hayes C 0.939 0.37 3.50 5.51 15.80 61.79 84.21 1.007 206 Larry Van Exel PG 0.962 0.48 0.80 5.89 7.81 48.69 42.31 0.957 927 Malik McAdoo SF 0.856 4.97 1.00 11.17 8.07 110.63 -41.63 0.856 35 Michael Dunigan C 0.882 2.25 1.07 11.40 9.15 54.61 14.39 0.882 984 Mitchell Endacott C 1.038 1.32 3.75 9.80 12.59 92.49 20.51 1.041 861 Ralph Sampson III C 0.979 0.31 2.13 6.15 16.46 73.04 62.96 0.990 679 Randall Cunningham SG 0.984 1.47 1.20 7.37 13.52 87.04 48.96 1.007 850 Randy Moss SG 0.967 0.72 1.33 9.06 6.91 75.36 60.64 0.961 544 Richard Sherman SG 0.677 0.00 #DIV/0! 21.79 23.68 -48.10 104.10 0.677 15 Rico Gathers PF 0.800 1.32 1.00 7.94 4.76 48.28 20.72 0.800 626 Rocky Hickcox PF 0.825 0.00 5.00 5.94 14.47 81.24 31.76 0.887 359 Rocky Liston PG 0.787 1.12 0.73 8.77 6.16 40.09 50.91 0.738 502 Ronald Elliott PF 0.821 2.86 1.00 13.14 11.43 57.72 33.28 0.821 101 Sam Stankovic C 0.982 1.38 2.00 10.88 9.89 75.71 15.29 0.982 764 Samardo Samuels PF 0.930 0.11 1.00 6.81 18.16 104.29 31.71 0.918 400 Scott Suggs SG 0.949 0.70 2.33 3.84 15.73 58.96 67.04 0.928 443 Scotty Hopson SG 0.877 0.00 1.60 5.70 5.40 86.21 59.79 0.868 504 Sean Mosley SG 0.814 0.58 0.67 5.52 4.65 49.19 41.81 0.820 1017 Tom Litwack SF 0.905 1.76 0.55 8.96 14.22 36.39 9.61 0.905 841 William Gale C

Somehow Ed Jones comes in at #8 despite leading the class in blocks per 36 (after only Dunigan who has played like 4 minutes), averaging 12.5 rebounds, and not shooting, but maintaining good efficiency when he does.
I will never understand.

so wait tommie frazier scores 26 at 45% with only 1.5 turnovers and thats supposed to be bad? Yeah but 1.04. He is at 1.01 (it isn't good at all for a PG). Eric is saying that his expected pts/tsa based on his outside grades is 1.04 so he expects his efficiency to rise. With regard to Frazier - the lack of turnovers is good, the scoring volume is good, the efficiency is bad and the defense is bad. Not sure how someone could really think otherwise on him.

so wait tommie frazier scores 26 at 45% with only 1.5 turnovers and thats supposed to be bad? -per game stats are a poor metric because players can have significantly different minutes per game -points per game are an especially poor metric for several reasons: --unlike IRL, there are no shot clock violations. this leads to Adam Morrison disease, where if nobody but one guy on a team wants the ball that guy will score 40 ppg even if he is a 25 ppg type player on a real team --even outside of those extreme cases, scoring volume is dramatically impacted by depth chart options: pace, focus, scoring option. --even outside of that, there are multiple attributes that increase volume but not efficiency, which brings us to... -FG% is a poor metric because it does not take into account the rate of fouls drawn, the rate of free throws converted, or the rate of three pointers taken, all of which have a substantial impact on scoring efficiency -additionally, Outside Scoring grade only takes Jump Shot and Three Point Shot into account, and Free Throw % only takes Jump Shot into account. we can therefore use Outside Scoring grade and regress Jump Shot to get an estimate of Three Point Shot, which is important because at three points a pop a statistically insignificant change in three pointers made can have an apparently compelling change on scoring efficiency -turnovers per game are also a poor metric because they don't take into account how often a player tries to pass. (there are no offensive foul turnovers in the software.) it is better to look at assists per turnover, and when we do that we see that tommie frazier has almost 5 assists to the turnover, which is a very good number, which is why i said "the handling is there"

stl:tov is now called "effective handling"
Estaban Weaver SG 40 30.9 22.0 4.4 2.9 1.9 0.3 1.6 .489 .904 .367
While Estaban Weaver's handling grade may be low, we see because of his high steal rate, his "effective handling" is very high. Which means, he has a positive contribution to total team possessions. And more possessions = more chances to ball in hoop, directly leading to more wins.

day 90. 1. Antwaan Randle-El - LR #1Efficiency dipped slightly but still the best and really only plus scorer in the class. . 2. Bradley Bleal - LR #7The scoring needs a lot of work, but investing in all the power stats should get him to league average, then natural Three Point growth could take him to plus scoring, and then he'd be a superstar. . 3. Tony Gonzalez - LR #3He remains serviceable as is. Needs growth across the board to be special. . 4. Steve Young - LR #5I'm not happy about it. But of the no-defense point guards I'm most comfortable with his total package for now. . 5. Colton Iverson- LR #6He didn't keep his blocks high enough to be the Big Alredick, but they're high enough that his ceiling is still superstar. . 6. John Stockston - LR #4Offense grows much better than defense for point guards, but Stocksty isn't even hitting league average for a big man right now. If a big was scoring 13 a game on .86 pts/tsa I wouldn't be happy even with elite d/r, so I gotta give Steve "Brigham" Young "The Brigand" the edge for now. . 7. Tommie Frazier - LR #10Up goes Frazier! Up goes Frazier! He's the same guy as before, but pretty much everyone else got worse so he rises by default. . 8. Zack Novak - LR #2Something's dulled this fella's feel for the ball. Scoring was all he had, so a dip there has pronounced consequences. . 9. Ed Jones- LR #8Good d/r guy. . 10. Randy Moss - LR unrankedIt took awhile but Randy Moss is getting close to league average efficiency, as predicted by his preseason/summer split. He's not there yet and the volume is low so he could still go either direction pretty sharply, but the d/r numbers have lived up to the hype. Could easily climb the ladder with a strong finish to the season. . stats pts/tsa blk/36 ast:tov reb/36 pts/36 JSH 3SH xp/t mp Player 1.142 0.28 1.50 7.65 13.61 96.63 49.37 1.091 1651 Antwaan Randle-El SG 1.013 2.16 1.20 7.61 14.40 73.29 39.71 0.990 2240 Bradley Bleal SF 1.031 0.55 1.10 8.26 23.12 81.03 64.97 1.059 2060 Tony Gonzalez SF 1.010 0.27 3.75 3.76 13.43 78.35 67.65 1.061 844 Steve Young PG 1.009 1.80 1.25 12.15 20.25 46.53 9.47 1.009 328 Colton Iverson C 0.957 2.08 4.17 3.57 15.17 93.17 19.83 0.957 714 John Stockston PG 1.012 0.21 4.73 4.77 27.18 81.68 54.32 1.043 2221 Tommie Frazier PG 1.044 0.28 1.89 4.80 15.81 78.17 57.83 1.050 1505 Zack Novak PG 1.007 3.46 0.70 12.25 5.81 83.03 7.97 1.007 1775 Ed Jones C 1.049 1.23 1.00 7.23 13.91 75.64 60.36 1.037 1373 Randy Moss SG 0.966 0.59 2.50 7.43 16.24 66.05 69.95 1.003 938 Andrew Steele SG 0.951 0.67 0.50 8.67 19.33 70.95 -1.95 0.951 49 Angel Garcia C 0.988 0.68 1.94 8.58 14.33 70.21 55.79 0.978 1978 Antonio Gates PF 0.994 1.36 0.70 9.98 8.02 72.26 -3.26 0.994 1404 Ater Majok C 1.011 0.48 1.38 6.20 18.48 61.30 29.70 1.013 1963 Barry Sanders SG 0.883 0.15 1.27 11.25 7.35 49.09 19.91 0.886 1584 Blake Church C 0.785 0.16 1.13 9.04 2.81 79.77 11.23 0.831 1340 Bradley Saperstein PF 0.688 0.00 0.33 5.76 9.36 110.63 50.37 0.785 80 Deividas Dulkys SG 0.898 1.82 1.33 9.80 12.99 57.72 -1.72 0.898 995 Delvon Roe PF 0.896 1.51 0.40 11.89 17.75 72.51 -3.51 0.896 1269 Emmanuel Negedu PF 0.898 0.45 0.60 5.87 15.36 87.75 25.25 0.935 1577 Hahn Crawford SG 0.983 0.50 1.04 5.29 15.61 69.06 66.94 0.962 844 Hayden Wyss PG 1.115 0.42 0.75 11.16 16.63 87.78 58.22 1.112 1043 Jared Berggren C 1.111 0.23 1.00 6.92 5.77 76.62 49.38 1.095 952 Jason Clark SG 0.837 0.45 0.71 3.83 17.33 58.51 54.49 0.887 1056 Jeremiah English PG 0.993 0.94 1.83 7.24 14.59 89.34 36.66 0.988 1784 Jim Thorpe SG 1.008 1.68 1.00 12.00 10.08 71.76 41.24 0.969 645 Jimmy Graham SF 0.946 2.96 0.89 11.58 11.15 56.65 12.35 0.946 1479 J'Mison Morgan C 0.582 0.00 1.50 9.00 9.00 110.63 -54.63 0.582 50 Joel Walker C 0.967 1.83 0.79 12.41 19.32 60.03 -4.03 0.967 2053 Jonathan Ogden C 0.825 1.04 1.33 13.04 9.39 67.34 -11.34 0.825 117 Kenny Frease C 0.967 0.65 1.40 9.57 11.84 89.06 23.94 0.930 1376 Kevin Jones PF 0.849 1.26 3.50 6.95 11.37 67.34 45.66 0.852 148 Kris Joseph SF 0.591 0.00 #DIV/0! 6.17 5.14 #DIV/0! #DIV/0! 0.591 46 Kyle Hayes C 0.939 0.37 3.50 5.51 15.80 61.79 84.21 1.007 206 Larry Van Exel PG 0.858 0.49 0.90 5.40 7.20 57.72 33.28 0.896 1452 Malik McAdoo SF 0.707 3.27 1.00 10.47 8.51 110.63 -41.63 0.707 61 Michael Dunigan C 0.890 2.03 1.18 11.83 8.11 56.80 12.20 0.890 1342 Mitchell Endacott C 1.055 1.19 3.25 10.41 12.97 92.60 20.40 1.028 1224 Ralph Sampson III C 0.987 0.35 1.94 6.00 17.47 79.37 56.63 0.999 1061 Randall Cunningham SG 0.954 0.72 1.67 8.94 6.77 55.90 80.10 0.978 909 Richard Sherman SG 0.677 0.00 #DIV/0! 21.79 23.68 -48.10 104.10 0.677 15 Rico Gathers PF 0.998 1.51 1.19 9.73 24.43 90.96 22.04 0.995 2031 Rob Gronkowski PF 0.790 1.36 0.80 7.64 4.64 49.94 19.06 0.790 766 Rocky Hickcox PF 0.877 0.37 5.00 5.51 16.53 69.06 43.94 0.911 608 Rocky Liston PG 0.780 0.88 0.46 8.25 6.15 47.14 43.86 0.780 1046 Ronald Elliott PF 0.818 3.95 1.00 11.84 12.82 74.00 17.00 0.818 183 Sam Stankovic C 0.980 1.57 1.71 10.82 10.23 76.36 14.64 0.980 1190 Samardo Samuels PF 0.930 0.11 1.00 6.81 18.16 104.29 31.71 0.918 400 Scott Suggs SG 0.979 0.61 1.75 3.93 16.03 69.82 56.18 0.952 774 Scotty Hopson SG 0.834 0.31 1.17 6.10 5.19 86.21 59.79 0.868 673 Sean Mosley SG 0.767 0.56 0.60 5.63 5.20 52.91 38.09 0.771 1690 Tom Litwack SF 0.906 2.11 0.59 8.62 14.17 38.95 7.05 0.906 1241 William Gale C
