Nixon is the latest in a long line of hate-able Duke players. Like most of the Durham products, he hangs his hat on his jumpshot and ball movement, as well as a reputation as an irritant, earning the nickname "Tricky Dick" for the sometimes questionable tactics he uses to free himself on offense or bother an opponent on defense. Nixon is a true student of the game who spends all of his free time studying tapes looking for weaknesses to exploit in opponents. Leadership is a definite concern though, and no one on Nixon's team seems to like him very much. Despite his role as the #1 option for the Blue Devils, his teammates chose his dog Checkers as the team captain instead.
