Sorry we missed you guys last week as I was out of town for a wedding in Chicago. We haven't had an episode since the start of the season when Fecta and I made some bold predictions. Today's Agenda: 1. We admit some of our mistakes 2. Which "contenders" are actually pretenders? 3. Who are the real contenders in each conference? 4. A word from our sponsors 5. Why are the Hornets underachieving? 6. Quick follow-up to Dunn-gate 7. MVP and RotY races It's been a long week in the office so apologies if Fecta and I don't have the same energy we usually do. As we always say, feedback is welcomed/appreciated. Raef LaFrentz is definitely NOT good.....but he's not hot garbage. His rebounding and decent efficiency + 3pt shooting is what I was going after :twocents:.

If you wanna rethink a roster, look at how many blocks per game I have compared to the rest of the league Another reason I’m debating ditching ericmetrics™ I've said it before and been made fun of because of it multiple times, but erics methods miss a lot of things that matter. By looking only at revealed things like counting stats and correlating that with team performance he is missing other things that correlate with team performance that don't show up in the box score. There are tons of ratings in this sim that don't directly correlate to steals or blocks etc and to think they don't mean anything to team success just because it doesn't produce a counting stat is flawed. |

If you wanna rethink a roster, look at how many blocks per game I have compared to the rest of the league you're still a follower of the gospel of blocks, or you wouldn't have ladder darling justin patton. consider how the 2016 grizzlies took 18 threes a game, in the basement of the league, but they would have been by far the most in the league in 1994. the revolution wasn't televised. you wanna see how it was before? how do three power forwards on a roster strike you, nobody above 3 bpg, two bigs on max contracts combining for less than 4 bpg. frank kaminsky died on the cross so that we may live, and also because we wanted to kill him.
