Players who have already been selected will be colored red. They are listed in no particular order.
Abraham Lincoln C 22 7'2 260 Illinois
A C C+ B B A
Abe is at times the most gifted prospect in the class and at others the most frustrating. He's an undeniable force on the offensive end, blending his incredible size and surprisingly deft shooting stroke with rare vision. He was a 2-time All-American and national player of the year candidate, and if scouts only watched his offense he would be the clear #1 pick.
But on the other end, he has a tremendous flaw: an absolute and total lack of shot blocking ability. No one is quite sure how someone with his size and length can't protect the rim, but pop in the tapes and you'll see a laundry list of players dunking on Lincoln like he's a bearded Shawn Bradley. Stephen Douglas, Jefferson Davis, and Robert Lee each took a turn, but Lincoln had the last laugh in those matchups. They were only precursors to the play of the season, the vicious posterization by John Wilkes Booth in the Final Four at Ford Field in Detroit, which has since been dubbed "The Assassination". That play capped a massive upset and closed Lincoln's career on a disappointing note.
Whoever drafts Abe will have to make peace with the yin and yang of his offensive and defensive game. Andrew Jackson SG 20 6'5" 185 Tennessee
B C+ C+ B C+ B
Product of the legendary high school program at Hickory High, Jackson is an explosive prospect both on and off the court. He's got incredible athleticism and a quick first step, which lets him breeze through the lane with ease. Defensively he plays with a real mean streak and isn't afraid to mix it up with players bigger than himself. His athleticism affords him the luxury of gambling for blocks and steals, and he's moderately successful with either. Curiously, he believes the bank shot is illegal and should be dissolved from the game entirely. Theodore Roosevelt PF/C 21 6'10" 280 Syracuse
B+ C C- B- B+ A
Roosevelt launched himself up draft boards this year with a breakout season fueled by his high intensity and motor. He was a bully (or maybe bull moose) in the paint, powering his way through opponents and creating second chances for his team with his tenacity. His high energy can sometimes backfire, as he led his conference in charges last season and turned it over more than his fair share of times. He doesn't boast much on the court, preferring to let his big-time post game do the talking for him. Roosevelt is very active on defense, and he's shown a real knack for disrupting offensive sets with steals or help-side blocks. His best skill may be getting into position to box out the opposition and secure the rebound.
Thomas Jefferson SF 22 6'7 220 Virginia
B- B+ C B- C+ A
Jefferson is a big time prospect who should command the attention of teams near the top of the draft. He is one of the most intellectual players to come into the league, and racked up a ton of hardware at the lower level including multiple player of the year awards. He is a proficient scorer, particularly on the outside, although some scouts believe he falls in love with it too much at times. He looks at himself as a Locke-down defender, but the effort and intensity often falls off, particularly if his shot isn't falling. John Adams SG 20 6'6" 205 Boston College
B- B- C+ C+ C A
This player enters the league brimming with potential. Scouts love his size and physicality, and he is much stronger than most prospects entering the league at his age. He's shown a rudimentary ability to run an offense and some think that if he were to focus on improving that skill, he could develop into a point guard. He's got above average range but won't be a knock down shooter right away, and he's more comfortable from midrange than behind the line. Defensively he's got the instincts but probably won't ever strike fear into the heart of his assignment. He's a good rebounder for his size. Adams was originally AAU teammates with Jefferson, but the two had a falling out and they became bitter rivals at the collegiate level. Woodrow Wilson PF 20 6'11" 265 Princeton
C+ B- D+ C+ B- B
Scouts view Wilson as a real tweener prospect. He's extremely reluctant to mix it up in the trenches despite possessing the size and strength to do so. Instead, he leans on a powerful and pure stroke uncommon for players of his stature. He's not a prolific scorer, averaging 14 Points per game in the League of Nations this past season, but scouts project that he could be a decent third option down the road. in time. His defense is unrefined at this point, and he may be too slow to fully develop on that end. Perhaps the most troubling flaw in Wilson comes off the court, where the rumor is he may not be comfortable playing in a league with so much diversity. Harry Truman SF 22 6'7" 185 Missouri
C A C C+ B- C
Truman comes into the league with one elite skill: the ability to drop bombs from downtown. Once he sees his shot start to fall, he can go nuclear and explode for points in bunches. There's not a ton more to his game as he lacks athleticism and can't create shots for himself or others, but if a team needs a knock-down catch and shoot player, they should look no further. Truman is also a sneaky good rebounder given his lack of physical attributes, he has a penchant for sneaking into the paint and catching the bigger forwards by surprise.
Truman became a household name this past November when, down 14 points with under two minutes left, his barrage of last minute 3 pointers sparked a momentous comeback win against Dewey in the White House Invitational. The comeback was such a shocker that some newspapers had already gone to print, leading to the infamous photo above. Ronald Reagan SG 25 6'4" 200 UC-Santa Cruz
B B+ C B C B
Ronald Reagan is one of the more interesting stories in this class. He began his career as an actor after graduating high school, and had some moderate success. However, during the shooting for Teen Wolf 2: This Time With More Basketball, he discovered both an astounding natural talent and an equally great love of the game. He decided to enroll at UC-Santa Cruz, where he rewrote the record books during his one season before declaring for the pros. He modeled his offensive game after Joe "Jelly Bean" Bryant, becoming a volume shooter who can get it done both at the rim and beyond the arc. Perhaps more impressively, Reagan is firmly committed to defense, expending all available resources on that end of the court and making him one of the better two-way players available. He's got tremendous leaping ability, creating highlight plays on a nightly basis.
Some wonder whether his gaudy stats are a product of going against weak competition, while others argue that his individual success rarely trickled down to the rest of his teammates. And although he was never implicated, many believe he was involved in a gun trafficking case that resulted in several teammates getting expelled.
Scouts are excited about seeing him at the highest level, and while he's advanced in age, some think his best is still yet to come. John F. Kennedy SF 19 6'8" 195 Harvard
B- C+ B- C+ C+ A
JFK enters the draft amid a massive level of hype. He's the son of legendary streetball legend Joe Kennedy, and has been groomed for superstardom since he was old enough to hold a ball. He's got the tools to be an all-around star, and if he's able to realize that potential he may develop into an all-league caliber wing.
The problem with Kennedy has been his inconsistency. He was expected to take college basketball by storm last year, but opened up his season with a disastrous showing at the Bay of Pigs Invitational and following that with a tumultuous season filled with highs and lows. One night he may dunk over Richard Nixon, and the next he's shrinking from the moment against J. Edgar Hoover. He's got a great shooting form but was far too streaky, and scouts note that they have never seen a player struggle more with letting tough shots get into his head. There are also concerns about a lack of focus, as he is a notorious partier and skirt-chaser who is highly susceptible to the trappings of fame.
The consensus is that Kennedy has one of the heighest ceilings in the class, but the bust potential is strong. Franklin D. Roosevelt PG 23 5'11" 200 New York University
C+ B B+ B- D+ C
Speed is the name of the game for this Roosevelt. His wheels are unparalleled among this draft class, and he possesses straight line speed as well as the agility to stop on a dime. Speaking of dimes, there was no one better in the country at dishing them out, as Roosevelt led the country in assists per game and showed a penchant for manipulating defenses with his superb passing. Roosevelt was a four year starter and is a little on the older side for a prospect, so he'll probably be ahead of the curve when entering the league but may not have the same type of ceiling as someone like Washington or Clinton. If there's a knock on his game, it's that at times he tries to do too much on his own, looking to make something out of nothing and costing his teams in the court with turnovers or bad shots. George Washington PG 22 6'3" 195 Washington
C+ B- B+ B+ C A
The epitome of a floor general, Washington has demonstrated mastery running an offense and should have no problem translating to the next level. His defense is among the best in the class as well. He's not always the flashiest player, and will defer to teammates rather than chase individual glory. He's very crafty and has been known to catch defenses off guard with a well-timed backdoor pass. He can score if asked but that side of his game will need some attention. Rory Lavs SF 19 6’9” 220 Nebraska/Alabama/Notre Dame
C+ B C- B- C+ A
After playing her freshman year of Softball at university of Nebraska. Rory grew 8 inches and was given the opportunity to play men’s basketball at the university of Alabama. Where under the teachings of many of the TMBSL veterans, she was able to harness her athletic abilities and compete (Hi Souper Troopers ). Physically she does not have much of a vertical but has great anticipation, is very strong and is a hard worker that never gives up. Defensively she is good at anticipating passing lanes and getting in the face of perimeter players to contest their shots and should be a good off the ball shot blocker. However, she is very raw at basketball and can make mistakes and will have lapses in judgement in her defensive assignment. Offensively she does not like to share the ball and would prefer not to pass. It is a result of many years of torture from her younger sisters. She is a phenomenal free throw shooter that does not put up many 3s but has shown the ability to knock down the 3 but needs to be more consistent. After her 1 season of men’s basketball where she played 12 minutes a game. She averaged 8 points and 4 rebounds a game, she decided to enter the TMBSL draft and finish her education at the University of Notre Dame in the TMBSL offseasons. Bill Clinton PG 20 6'0" 210 Arkansas
B- C+ B C C- A
Bill has some of the smooth handles around, as evidenced by his nickname "Slick Willy". He's a natural lefty but can go to either side depending on what the defense gives him, which allows him great control over the flow of the game and get his passes off. Most believe he's got the hallmarks of a great scorer, but his shot selection is questionable at times and can get him in trouble. His defense is a glaring flaw, as he inexplicably chooses to cut and leave his defensive responsibility, forcing teammates to try and cover for him and leaving big holes in their rotations. If his coach can just get him to focus more on defense and less on the athletic trainers supporting the team, he might put forth a better effort. Conditioning was a real problem for Clinton when he entered school, but a recent change to a vegan diet has put him in the best shape of his life. Richard Nixon SG 22 6'3" 215 Duke
B- B C+ C+ C- B
Nixon is the latest in a long line of hate-able Duke players. Like most of the Durham products, he hangs his hat on his jumpshot and ball movement, as well as a reputation as an irritant, earning the nickname "Tricky Dick" for the sometimes questionable tactics he uses to free himself on offense or bother an opponent on defense. Nixon is a true student of the game who spends all of his free time studying tapes looking for weaknesses to exploit in opponents. Leadership is a definite concern though, and no one on Nixon's team seems to like him very much. Despite his role as the #1 option for the Blue Devils, his teammates chose his dog Checkers as the team captain instead. Barack Obama SG 19 6'5" 205 Kenya
B- B- C C+ C A
Obama comes to the states as an unrefined prospect, having only learned the game recently. He is a lefty gunner, but his shooting form needs some work, and he has more confidence in his jumper than his performance warrants. He's a naturally gifted athlete, and when his shot is going he has a very deft touch, but his youth and inexperience still leave him prone to some occasional lapses in judgment. He is impatient with his point guards, demanding that they pass to him before they've had a chance to read the defense. Despite that, he's got a drive to succeed that is among the best in the class, and if given the proper time and coaching to develop, he could become a star.
Donald Trump C 23 6'10" 305 Trump University
B F- D A- C+ C
This is a prospect, let me tell you, you've never seen a person play basketball as well as this player. First off, he is yuuuuuuge, and his size, everyone knows his size is off the charts. He's tremendous. Everyone says he's the biggest. And his defense, folks, there has never been anyone more defensive in the HISTORY of the game than him. It doesn't matter how big or how little the opponent, no action is too small for him to not get defensive over. He's a tactician, boy have you ever seen a tactician as smart as this in your life. He's gonna wall off the paint AND make whoever tries to oppose it pay. Just wait, he will impact the game bigly as soon as he steps foot in the league.
“He’s the most competitive person I’ve ever met,” raves Anthony Scaramucci. “Okay? I’ve seen this guy throw a dead spiral through a tire. I’ve seen him at Madison Square Garden with a topcoat on. He’s standing in the key; he’s hitting foul shots and swishing them, all right? He sinks 30-foot putts.”
From the outside, haters say he doesn't know what he's doing, that he's in over his head, that he's racist and facist and treasonous and ugly. They say that his tiny hands make him a turnover machine, and that he takes the most ill-advised shots that no player with a modicum of respect for the game of basketball would ever take. That's all part of the media's unfair crusade, and there are no limits to the amount of fake news. Those snowflakes just don't understand what a magnificent, tremendous, big bright star he is. He elected to play for Russia, medaling in the US last November and taking home the gold and showers. A lot of people don't realize that. And he played before record setting crowds, unbelievable crowds, there was never a player who had so much support. Just wait, you'll see that he's going to bring big things to this league.
