1. Seattle SuperSonics - Thomas Jefferson SF 22 6'7 220 B- B+ C B- C+ A
B A- C B- B- A (+3)
Holds his potential and gains in scoring and rebounding, looks to be a tremendous 1st pick of the draft and should be a tremendouse player.
2. Boston Celtics - George Washington PG 22 6'3 195 C+ B- B+ B+ C A
C+ B- B+ B+ C A (0)
no movement in his grades but the grade set is still very good to build upon. With some RC and SC love and hopefully a better TC on the 2nd year will make him into a better looking prospect.
3. Washington Bullets - Barack Obama SG 19 6'5 205 B- B- C C+ C A
B B C B- C+ A (+4)
Real nice TC for KN, jumps in the offense, defense and rebounds. With some RC, SC and future TCs should be a real good quality player.
4. Minnesota Timberwolves - John Adams SG 20 6'6 205 B- B- C+ C+ C A
B B C+ C+ C+ A (+2)
Ayyoe gets a +2 in the scoring, defensive and Rebounding grades are still decent and with him being only 20, still has a long time to grow. Another player that is worthy of where he was drafted.
5. Dallas Mavericks - Abraham Lincoln C 22 7'2 260 A C C+ B B A
A C C+ B B+ A (+1)
Increase in his rebounding is all we get for honest abe. The rest of the grades still hold decent hope. He really needs to get some love into his defense and he could be a real good 2 way big.
6. Los Angeles Lakers - Bill Clinton PG 20 6'0 210 B- C+ B C C- A
B- B B+ C C- B (+3 -1 pot)
I am not a big fan of the C defense on slicky willy, I was hoping that he would get some TC love there and at least get to a C+. However the +2 jump to his jumper is a real nice jump and he gets a +1 in his handle. The drop in his potential is a little kick in the nuts. A little unsure how good he will be with the defense at a C grade.
7. Utah Jazz - Rory Lavs SF 19 6’9 220 C+ B C- B- C+ A
B- A- C- B- B- A (+4)
+1 of the inside is due to RC/SC love but overall a good prospect. A nice jump in the outside of a +2 and a nice jump in the rebounding to get it up to a B- and holds the A potential. Being 6'10 and SG eligible will be interesting if Rory can become a volume shooter as that is really the biggest concern after looking at the preseason numbers.
8. Chicago Bulls (from Knicks) - Theodore Roosevelt PF/C 21 6'10" 280 B+ C C- B- B+ A
B+ C C- B B+ B (+1 -1 pot)
Not a terrible TC, wish the future potential did not drop but the +1 in defense is a positive.
9. Cleveland Cavaliers - Ronald Reagan SG 25 6'4 200 B B+ C B C B
B B+ C B C B (0)
Grades are good but absolutely no change in the TC, with him being a little bit older than other prospects the no movement in the TC is a little bit of a concern.
10. Orlando Magic - John F. Kennedy SF 19 6'8 195 B- C+ B- C+ C+ A
B- C+ B- B C+ A (+2)
Love that he picked up a +2 in his defense, with him being only 19, has a ton of time for future growth in his jumper, if that jumper can get to at least an A- and if he can increase that defensive and rebounding grades through future TC luck, he can be a stud. Very good pick here at 10 for the Magic.
11. Kansas City Kings - Dwayne Elizondo Mountain Dew Herbert Camacho C 22 6'11" 275 B C- D+ B- B- B
B C- C- B B+ A (+4 +1 pot)
A very very good TC, increases in his defense, rebounding and potential are huge, with him having some volume on the offensive end, the handling grade increase will hopefully cut down on turnovers and increase his efficency. Could be the best big in this class.
12. Cincinnati Royals - Martin Van Buren PG 23 5'3 150 B- B B C+ C A
B- B+ A- B C A (+5)
The Van Buren Boys would be proud of this TC for their idol. Has the makings of a very very good PG in the future. +1 in the outside +2 in handles and +2 in defense. With some SC/RC love should be an absolute stud.
13. Chicago Bulls - Richard Nixon SG 22 6'3 215 B- B C+ C+ C- B
B- B+ C+ C+ C- B (+1)
Increased his jumper by 1, no drops with his size is a little bit of a tweener, would have liked to see either increases in his handling to maybe get him to be PG eligible or a bump in his defense/rebounding to make him less of a liablity at the SG. Still, you have to like the scoring grades, has solid potential.
14. Kansas City Kings (from Pelicans) - William Howard Taft C 22 7'0 350 B+ D C- B+ B C
B D C- B+ B- C (-2)
yikes.... -2 in inside and rebounding and maintains a C potential. You can like the B+ defense but overall this player does not look good.
15. Milwaukee Bucks - Andrew Jackson SG 20 6'5 185 B C+ C+ B C+ B
B+ B- C+ B+ B- B (+4)
A very good TC for Duc and his Bucks. Andrew Jackson appears to have some very good potential. Love his defense and rebounding at the SG and that B- jumper can get fixed with some SC/RC. Looks like a real nice player.
16. San Antonio Spurs (from Braves via Royals) - Jed Bartlett SG 19 6'3 205 C+ B C C+ C- A
C+ B C C+ C A (+1)
19 year old with some nice upside, would have liked to see the +1 go into the scoring but getting it in the rebound is not terrible but not ideal for a SG. Nice starting grade of a B on the jump shot, could develop into a decent player with luck.
17. Washington Bullets (from Hornets) - Harry Truman SF 22 6'7 185 C A C C+ B- C
C A+ C C+ B- B (+1 +1 Pot)
Another great TC for KN, increase in the future potential and the outside gets to A+. If that inside can get up to a B-/B level and he can become a volume shooter, could be a really good player.
18. New Orleans Pelicans (from Trailblazers via Pelicans) - James Monroe C 22 6'10 235 C+ D D+ B+ B C
C+ D+ D+ B+ B+ B (+2 +1 pot)
An increase of 2 in jumper and rebounding and a jump in potential, a real nice pick up for BK here at 18. Could end up being a pretty good D/R big.
19. Fort Wayne Pistons - Millard Fillmore SG/SF 20 6'5 205 B C- C- B- C- A
B+ C- C- B C A (+3)
C- jumper is a little concerning but it is something fixable, still has good potential and you have to like that he saw an increase in his defense and rebounding. Not a bad prospect but needs some work.
20. San Diego Clippers - Thomas Whitmore SF 22 6'8 230 C B- C+ C+ B C
C C+ C+ C+ B- C (-2)
-1 in his jumper and -1 in rebounding with no other movement, future does not look bright here. Most likely a player that will not make it past year 2 of his rookie deal.
21. Los Angeles Lakers (from Nuggets) - Gerald Ford C 22 6'8 240 B- D+ D B B- B
B- D+ D A- B B (+3)
First let me say, Fuck Ford and Fuck Michigan. With that being said, pretty solid TC for this big, if he can be an efficent FT shooter, could be a real solid big. Like that his +3 went into his defense and rebounding.
22. Vancouver Grizzlies - Dwight D. Eisenhower PG 23 6'2 205 C+ B B B C- C
C+ B+ A- A- C C (+5)
Wow, +5 with a C potential and maintains a C potential. With this grade set you can really make a player here with just RC/SC love into his jumper and inside. Looks to be a pretty nice pick here at the back end of the 1st round. Does not have the ceiling of others but there is definitly something to work with here.
23. Seattle SuperSonics (from Raptors) - Black Bush PF 22 6'8 225 B C D+ C+ B- B
B C C- C+ B- B (+1)
Not really where you would want to see the +1 on a PF if you were to see an increase. Will be interesting to see if he stays at PF or moves to SF and if his defense jumps with the move.
24. Portland Trailblazers (from Heat via Grizzlies) - William Henry Harrison PF 26 6'10 230 B C- D B B D
B C D+ B+ B D (+3)
Increase in his jumper, handle and defense. Not bad, could be a decent big. Not really big on the potential but a nice surprise on the +3.
25. San Antonio Spurs (from Hawks via Cavaliers) - Woodrow Wilson PF 20 6'11 265 C+ B- D+ C+ B- B
B- B C- C+ B- B (+3)
pretty interesting player, he is eligible to go to SF and with a B- B scoring grade set and that height, could end up being a George Ackles like SF. Very good pick here for the spurs.
26. San Antonio Spurs (from Suns via Grizzlies) - James A. Garfield C 20 6'10 255 B+ F+ C- C+ C+ A
B+ F+ C B C+ B (+2 -1 pot)
Really like to see the increase in the defense, but with that F+ jumper and B+ inside scoring this is a player that just screams inefficency. Not a big fan.
27. Indiana Pacers - Grover Cleveland PG 19 5'10 220 B- C+ C B- D+ A
B- B C+ B+ C- A (+5)
Great pick here at the end of the 1st round, was really hoping he would fall to 29. There is a lot to like and with him being 19 there is a lot of time for growth. Could end up being a very good future PG.
28. Buffalo Braves (from Warriors via SuperSonics) - Ulysses S. Grant PG 21 5'11 205 B- C+ C+ B- C B
B- C+ C+ B- C- B (-1)
not an ideal TC but the drop in rebound by 1 from a PG is not the end of the world. Still needs some luck and RC/SC love to become a player.
29. Utah Jazz (from Spurs via SuperSonics) - Rutherford B. Hayes SF 21 6'7 225 C+ B- C- C+ C B
B- B C- C+ C+ B (+3)
increases in his inside, jumper and rebounding, very nice TC but still needs some future luck and love to become a player.
Will work on round 2 Tomorrow.
Round Two:
1. Utah Jazz (from SuperSonics) - Chester A. Arthur SG 22 6'3 210 C B- C B C- B
