The first things scouts notice about Druce when they step foot into the gym is his shooting ability. Druce has a lights out mid-range game and is among the NCAA leaders in free throw percentage. He can catch and shoot or create own shot when called upon, the only question is how he will adapt to the professional 3 point line. Druce has deceptive quickness and is able to beat players off the dribble if they underestimate his first step, though he will struggle to finish against pro rim protectors due to his lack of jumping ability. One knock on Druce coming out is that he's a bit of a ball hog, almost always looking to score himself instead of distribute, he also turns it over a bit more than ideal. Defensively Druce has good instincts and has a tendency to jump passing lanes to get steals. His lack of vertical doesn't allow him to block many shots at all. Quicker guards won't struggle to beat Druce off the dribble, though he does close out well. Druce's size allows him to post up most other guards and get position for rebounds easier.
