ok. so here are my thoughts if anyone cares. delap and majic it would be cool if you actually participated outside of votes and nominations. so we know JHB is not trump, which keeps us safe if we elect him, but we obviously cannot do so for at least one vote. the possibility also exists that jhb is russian and can hide behind the fact that he's not trump to get elected. if the other russian or trump nominates him, they can say they were given 3 russian policies and had no choice, such as pete has done, and lay in the weeds, and if by chance they are given and don't enact the american policy i believe numbers wise were looking at another automatic russian.
the argument against people who passed american policies is "if they were russian of course they would for cover" but somehow that logic doesn't apply for people claiming 3 russian polices and i don't get it. since delap and majic have added nothing it's also possible they are lying in the weeds just watching this all play out waiting for their opportunity to strike. so our options for this nomination/election are basically everyone except spl/delap/jhb/billy. i don't think there is a bad option between myself, tim, majic, and pete, but obviously we run the risk of a trump in that group. what i was saying with billy, and what holds true now, is that we're fine as long as we avoid trump. we can still pass a russian policy and be in good shape with the arrest possibility. i almost want to say one of pete/billy is the play to see if we can try and catch either in a lie from earlier in the game. based on the last vote, we are i assume more likely to get a president out of pete.

Why not on Pete. Saying I'm absolutely not the choice smacks of a BK co-conspirator who is desperate to keep the game winning shot out of an American's hands

If you care to discuss why I'm a bad option, be my guest. But in the long run we're going to have to take a chance on someone not being Hitler and I think my election gives the game the most valuable info (if I can have a chance to actually prove my allegiance w/ a policy choice)

A. Of course you'd argue I'm full of shit in my investigation, my investigation showed you were Russian B. If I were Russian or Hitler and I had any choice as either President or Party Leader, I would've at least tried to enact one American policy so I had some credibility, especially since they were low leverage situations so early in the game. However, I only got Russian policies in both cases. This doesn't clear me or incriminate me, it just means I'm either an unlucky American or a lucky Russian/Trump.

Of course passing russian policies doesn't paint you 100% as a russian, but nothing is 100% in this game. You go off probabilities. With the limited info we have to work on, the average citizen can deduce that more often than not, someone who passes a russian policy is more likely than someone who passes an american policy. There is randomness in every game, but sometimes it is not, that's how these games work, but I don't have to explain that to you. It's just a game of probabilities, and the odds aren't in your favor. However, though the average person here can't be certain you are a russian, I can. That is because I have special info that says you are russian. Because I am 100% certain I am an American, which means you are lying about your investigation result which would not happen if you were an american. Therefore, I can be certain you are russian and trying to set me up to be jailed. If you're the russians, who is the easiest person to turn the town against to waste jailings/investigations?

You investigated the easiest Patsy in the game and called him a Russian and have the worst voting record of anyone in the game.
It's an absolute no on Pete for me, dawg.

so who does spl nominate? us 4 are currently the only ones really participating, and in order for jhb to get back in office to ensure at least no trump we need a successful election this time. this is why i was pro billy in the last cycle. he goes russian then we lock him up and pete is telling the truth, if he goes us and a then we win.

If I wanted to investigate a Patsy I had plenty of non-active players to target. Going after BK and trying to label him Russian if he was American would've been foolish given he'd already been involved in an American policy being played and I was coming off of two Russian policies being played. Much easier targets to sell than that. I investigated him for the reasons I stated in this thread. Since delap nominated me it's probably not going to be all that credible if I claim he's an american after an investigation. i think it makes more sense to target someone we think is going to be active. Also, BK is the only one thusfar who's claimed to make a choice as party leader/president. And calling it a voting record is misleading because it ignores the possibility that I had no choice in the matter. If given the chance to vote I would have. You know this because you are a Russian too, and are trying to discredit me.

Pete has not been elected. The votes were as follows: BK - No Delap - No Pete - Yes Druce - Yes JHB - No Majic - Yes Tim - No SPL - Yes BKay Jewelers is now party leader and will nominate a candidate for President. Delap and JHB continue to be term limited. The election tracker is at 2. The next failed election will result in an automatic Russian policy. Scoreboard: American policies - 4 Russian policies - 3 Election tracker - 2

So if Billy is Russian, SPL is likely secret Trump again.
If Billy isn't Russian, SPL could still be secret Trump.
If we vote no again, we get a Russian policy but no chance of electing Trump.

If we put a Russian policy on the board BK is going to jail an American. That's a guarantee. But with a Russian controlling the board, I think nominating Trump would make sense here, because if your candidate wins, it's game over, but if your candidate loses, they get an automatic Russian policy (so BK isn't culpable) and BK gets to jail someone, swinging the numbers closer to their favor for future policy decisions.
I would rather make the Russians work for it. I will not support the candidacy of SPL

If this election fails, the election tracker will be at 3 and a Russian policy will be enacted automatically. As the party leader, BK will select a player to be imprisoned. If that player is Trump, the game will end. If the player is not Trump, no additional information will be released.

another thing to consider would be jhb, delap, and majic/tim/spl/bk/pete just stringing everyone along and playing us all. they get everyone to vote no here and get themselves a russian policy at the cost of bk jailing an american, because pete came out against bk there is his justification. next delap nominates jhb because jhb isn't trump, they both claim they got 3 russian policies and had to pass a russian, this time delap gets to jail someone, presumably another american. at this point it's a coin flip basically as we're down to jhb, delap, russian x and 3 americans, and all they need to do is get their trump whether it's delap or russian x voted into office

THey just need to ensure whoever is the final president would enact a Russian policy. I know BK is Russian, I think JHB is the other, and I think SPL is likely Trump. As long as one of those three (or whoever BK's actual conspirators are) is either President or Party leader when Russia is a policy away, we've already lost.
