Thank you 20s Navidad - whose service to this community first as a GM/participant and then later as a commissioner has been incredible. Just last night, the man offered to, made, and then uploaded a video of him going through the sim mechanics to help my technically illiterate ass figure out what I was doing.
Thanks to Souper Troopers and Odin whose hard work and dedication to this community has been so impactful. As I was doing DCs, upgrades, position changes, trades, etc last night, I remarked how mind numbing 10s of seasons of that must be. I didn't mind it last night because it was new and interesting (until I realized I'd forgotten to put people's IRs in and had to open all the DC threads and do that), but I don't think many people appreciate how boring that is.
Thanks to all of the rest of you for sticking around. I really like this community and am grateful you're all part of it.
Some general points:
I will be taking a more active role in managing the GM-less teams. I will NOT be seeking out trade offers, but I will entertain them and negotiate them in good faith. I will be making reasonable FA offers and I will be making draft picks. I will not use the software to make judgments on these actions and will continue to use only grades/production. If I ever feel like my knowledge of the backend attributes inhibits my ability to make a make a fair assessment, I will phone a friend in Fason or 20s to make a decision.
If Face-in is willing, I'd love for him to continue making the classes. I will NOT be continuing as draft master. Delap has shown interest in the past. Is anyone else interested?
I also will not be doing histories anymore. It'd be great if someone other than eric stepped up and took that on.
Finally, I won't be doing predictions either. I'd say they should probably just be done because the level of participation was very bad. But if someone wants to try to do them, I won't stop you.
