Clyde's interest in the hardwood began when he was much younger, as his father owns a shoe store and would often gift the latest and greatest sneakers to his son for his birthday and Christmas. When girls in the class took a liking to Craig, he thought it was because of his personality and talent, but it was mostly because he could hook them up with free shoes as well. That said, Craig had to put some time in to his game to not be viewed as a poser by his classmates. He's not athletically gifted and is the second fattest kid in the class after Cartman, but he fills the role of a traditional point guard quite nicely. He's known for his lack of selfishness, even once trying to take the fall for the mystery person who pooped in a urinal. Despite being referred to as developmentally disabled by his teacher, Mr. Garrison, Clyde is a true student of all sports, including basketball, and therefore plays a fundamentally sound game devoid of turnovers.
