Dirts Top 3 in TMBSL
Centers:
#1. Logan Edgehill C 21 6'9'' 280 C C B- A A A - 32.4 7.3 13.1 3.3 0.9 4.4 1.3 .428 .952
-Sim Odin has been a huge presence in the Mavs frontcourt since being taken on a league minimum his sophmore season. After showing great promise in his FT% and lack of forced shots gives him the nod as 1st Team Center in Dirts eyes. He is 21 and has a solid A Potential that should not really matter because he is mostly above 85 in catagories that matter. Soup loves to look for the under the radar commish guys and it looks like he found another gem.
#2. Mark Eaton C 25 7'4'' 275 C- D- D+ A A C - 28.7 3.0 10.2 1.3 1.2 3.1 0.6 .423 .569
-Mark is a type of center most droll over. He is a pure defender that doesnt kill you on the offense side of the ball. Shooting a standard 42% from the field at only 3 ppg is extreamly rare and should have fantasy owners praying he lands on this years FA list.
#3. Bill Walton C 27 6'11'' 245 A C B A+ A B - 36.9 24.3 13.4 5.3 1.2 3.6 1.8 .444 .781
-Mr. Walton is a typical shoot heavy center but has the rare 5 Assists per game to go along with the above average shot blocking ability. If your going to have a Center that will shoot the ball i'm most def going to choose Bill. He is one of the few players that has an outstanding A inside and should stay strong for another 5-7 years.
Power Forwards:
#1. Bob Lanier PF 32 6'11'' 260 A- C C+ A+ A- B - 33.8 22.5 12.3 3.3 1.2 3.0 1.2 .483 .828
The Ex-MVP and proably the only Big Man to ever win the award is still red hot in Boston. He has a great FT% and is still holding his great reputation as the best big man in tmbsl. Its a crazy thing he hasn't gotten a ring yet but its easy to believe when you've seen the GMs he's played for. Lanier only has a few more years left and with B potential were not sure if he will ever slow down until the day he retires.
#2. Glenn "Big Dawg" Robinson PF 23 6'7'' 240 A- B- C A- B- B - 34.5 23.4 9.5 2.6 0.6 2.6 1.1 .462 .839
Glenn has emerged as a great Power Forward regarldess of his 6'7" frame. He gives you wing type percentages and is able to give you nearly 3 blocks a game on top of that. At only 23 he has the oppurtunity to play some Small Forward and possibily some Center if need be. Robinson is one of the rare players you can plug anywhere and know you will have solid production.
#3. Neon Boudeaux PF 21 7'0'' 279 B+ C- C- B+ A- C - 34.2 21.5 12.3 2.8 0.6 3.5 2.0 .457 .696
-With only his 3rd year in the league he is a top 3 leading FG% amongst bigs and is also top 10 in blocks per game. He is probably +1 at Center and still has room to grow. If you have a career 48% from the field your 1st three years in the league that is a very solid sign.
Small Forwards:
#1. Larry Kenon SF 27 6'9'' 215 A- C C+ A+ A- B - 36.8 28.0 11.8 3.1 1.7 0.7 1.2 .502 .847 .292
Kenon has played some PF this season but has been argueably the best 3 in the game. He has a career FG% over 50 and maintans nearly 2 steals and 11 boards per game. His vercitatly is nice but being able to average that many points playing alongside other greats is just as impressive. The SF position is stacked and to be a top player at this position is really saying something.
#2. Charles Barkley SF 21 6'6'' 257 B C+ C+ B+ A- A - 34.2 29.5 9.7 2.3 1.9 2.1 2.4 .505 .884 .458
The should be ROTY this year is having a stellar year in Omaha. His averages are just insane and should stay that way only being 1 and 20. I dont see alot of improvement because with those stats you really can't get much better. Its impressive to shoot 45% from 3s with only a C+ outside. I'm curious to see what will happen when 20s get some talent around him. I'm assuming he does the same and dam us all when the Kings start competiting next year.
#3. Dan Issel SF 32 6'9'' 240 A C C B+ B - 27.9 9.4 2.8 1.1 0.2 1.3 .533 .786 .286
Issel has lead the league in FG% 2 years straight and is not letting up in 3004. So far in 4.0 the Inside Focus Bigs have really taken off and shown outstanding FG%. Its hard not to try a PF at SF because its really working for those that have 1. The A- A- scoring grades are rare right now and the A C+ guys are having fantastic years over and over again.
Shooting Gaurds:
#1.George Gervin SG 28 6'7'' 195 A- A B A- C B - 38.1 28.0 7.0 4.3 1.2 0.8 1.1 .476 .819 .469
The Iceman is having a down year at the SG position but i dont see him staying below 48% when the season ends. He is a MVP type player that can play both wing positions and should give JW an oppurtunity come playoff time. Its hard to find a solid SG these days and I believe with his age and previous stats he is the best player at the 2 gaurd.
#2. Rick Barry SG 36 6'7'' 205 B+ A- B+ A+ C D - 38.5 29.6 6.6 3.9 1.4 0.6 1.3 .497 .849 .446
The old man is still just chuggin along in the Western Conference doing his thing like he's 10 years younger. With the best contract in the league playing on probably the best team he could end up having the most rings in tmbsl being drafted in his mid 30s. He is having another succesful year and should be succesful until the day he calls it quits. I'm sure Soup hopes he plays out that contract but who really knows what the Software will decide the next couple of years. Its a 60/40 or 50/50 if he retires..says /Ianboyd
#3. John Drew SG 26 6'6'' 215 B+ A C+ A- C+ B - 39.6 29.3 7.9 3.6 1.5 0.3 1.2 .480 .737 .468
JD is having a very nice year in ATL keeping them near the top of the Eastern Conference. Thus far having a career year in 3pt % and FG% keping pace with Gervin and Barry. RW did say he was changing his team's Focus for some dumb ass reason so i may take back everything i just typed day 120. RW needs to be sending a thank you card to W2D for giving him a core he can try to compete with instead of a bare chested boy team he would have built during his creation draft.
Point Gaurds:
#1. David Thompson PG 26 6'4'' 205 A A A- A C A - 39.9 33.4 5.1 10.1 1.8 0.3 1.8 .467 .837 .410
Skywalker is having a fantastic year coming off of a down year last season even though they won the 3003 TMBSL Championship. Adding Barry and letting Hayes go has done nothing but good for Thompson. He continues to impress throughout his career and may have finally hit his Ceiling with A A Scoring grades. It really doesnt get any better defensively than Thompson after numerous shut down performances against Magic the past few post-seasons.
#2. Paul Westphal PG 29 6'4'' 195 B A A A+ D+ B - 37.8 30.0 3.3 9.7 2.3 0.1 1.4 .490 .807 .410
Its hard to beat 30 ppg at 49% with only an 1.5 Turnover Rate. He should be competing for the MVP with Thompson and will no doubt get a few votes and possibly win it. The best player in the Eastern Conference has a great shot to clash with the Titans of Dallas and have a chance for their 2nd Ring.
#3. John Williamson SG 27 6'2'' 190 C+ A- B+ A- D+ B - 38.8 26.7 3.6 8.7 1.9 0.1 1.5 .494 .863 .468
The creation commish special is still beasting for a low-talent Charlotte Hornets team. Some would say Magic should have this position but giving the amount of shots he puts up i decided with Williamson. For only a C+ A- Scoring grades he has some trimendous ability to score at will. If he can find some talent around him at some point in his career he should be able to take a team to the promise land.
