1. who is more annoying, RW or Ian, and why?
Devine- Probably Ian. he is much better for the league than rw but his constant nagging, memory, and shitty jokes just make him annoying. i think rw is more self-aware if you can believe that, which isnt a good thing
Fason- RW doesn’t bother me yet so I’ll say Ian. I’ve already made this comparison but he is like Randall from Recess with the rules. I think he is really helpful for the league but don’t think it is necessary for him to throw in his two cents on everything. The pestering of Odin for sims in shout also gets annoying.
Duc15- Oh boy is this a tough one. They are both annoying with some of the things they say and come up with. If I had to pick just one of them I would probably say Ian just cause he is in shout more. They are both huge homers when it comes to their sim teams as well as other teams. I would pick ian because of his bizarre things he cares for, such as the whole Houston Rockets/Hakeem thing.
Diworth- RW. I don't think Ian is annoying. I think it's funny how much he's on here and I enjoy it. It's very good for the league. RW on the other hand is pretty annoying to me. The unnecessary commas kill me.
2. rank these commish's
odin
mj
dirt
ianboyd
and give justification for why each person is ranked where they are at
factors include likeability, sim schedule maintenance, enforcing of rules, etc. weight these according to however you want
Devine- 1. dirt- he simmed at the same time every day, enjoyed that. he was also very easy going and just likeable.
2. odin- i like him so far although i disagree with some things, but i think hes done a good job. has no chance of being number 1 until demerits are gone though, and clutch is brought back #freeclutch
3. mj- dont remember him much
4. ian- wasnt around for ian
Fason- Odin invited me into the league so he is clearly the best. Wasn’t around for any of the other commissioner’s reigns.
Duc 15-This is very tough because all the commish's are great, also I'm going to add a 5th commish to the list in Poe.
Poe- #2, an awesome commish who really helped create and form a lot of the things we still do in the league today. The godfather commish of our league, our Pete Rozell. Plus he was an awesome GM and I wish he would join us again.
odin- #4, really the only gripe at times is the inconsistent simming but it doesn't bother me, other than Ian's constant question of when the sim is, so it is cool.
mj- #5, He is awesome but he was just very busy during his time as commish with being a college student. I don't blame him for the inconsistency on simming or whatever else. I was perfectly fine with him being the commish but since
dirt- #3, he is very active and involved as well in the league which is nice when it comes to the commish. This list is just really tough to make and Ian and Poe were great commish's.
ianboyd- #1, I know I just called him annoying but he was a great commish and is a perfect for being commish and I wish he would do it again. He is very active and very involved. He knows probably the most about the software and is very proactive with dealing with issues. Also, he doesn't give a shit about what anyone else thinks which is great for solving league issues.
and give justification for why each person is ranked where they are at
factors include likeability, sim schedule maintenance, enforcing of rules, etc. weight these according to however you want
Dilworth-1. Ian - Very consistent with sims. We seem to have similar views on sim politics as well. Conservative.
2. Odin - Very open to suggestions and cares about the league.
3. Dirt - Nothing wrong with Dirt's reign at all. I actually don't remember much that he did which is a good thing I guess.
4. MJ - He was great but the inconsistent sim schedule got annoying after a while. Dude would say he would sim that afternoon and then wait two days. But he was a good commish.
3. Out of these 5 gm's, you have to pick 1 to live with for a year, one to party with for a night, and one to marry into your family. the other 2 get sent to an island where they spend the rest of their life living with each other and dump, in the nude
buster, soup, dirt, bruns, mj
Devine- live with for a year- dirt. he seems like a fun guy and he seems like he is busy so we wouldnt get on each others nerves. i feel like a year would lead to some good times
party for a day- buster. any longer than that and im scared of what my criminal record would look like. think it would be a good time with a lot of natural lights consumed
marry a family member- bruns. he looks innocent so im not scared of him, and if he treats her wrong i could whoop his ass
mj- dont think we have much in common, sorry bud. im also basically doing soup a favor, because if he got on my bad side oh man..
Fason- MJ to live with because he seems like a good guy who can cook and likes to drink.
Hearing about Buster’s trouble with the law makes me want to party with him for a night.
Soup has been really helpful and seems like a good guy so I’d accept him into my family.
Duc15- Oh boy this is tough. I would probably live with Bruns because we both enjoy smoking so it would be easy for us to get along. One night to party would be tough because MJ, Buster, and Soup would all be a blast to party with but I'm going to choose Buster because I know the night has the potential to get crazy with him. I have seen pictures of Dirt and would be very proud to call him my brother-in-law, a fine texas gentlemen. Plus, have you seen that hair? So that means sorry to Soup and MJ by default :(
Dilworth-
Live with: MJ. We're similar in age and he cooks great food. Also spends a lot of time with his girlfriend so I would have free time.
Party with: Dirt. He's a firey little guy. Would be a good night.
Marry into family: Buster. We have a good chemistry and would be friends imo. I would love to talk sim stuff during holidays.
Island: Bruns and Soup. I like both of these guys but they don't fit anywhere else ???
4. clutch hired you as his public defender. state your case, in 3-5 sentences as to why clutch should be the newest gm, and GM bankz should not. pretend that your jury is a 1-man show, and odin is that juror
Devine- Look at this face *points to clutch,* this boy deserves a team. He is dedicated, funny, nice, and the dude knows how to GM. The stats speak for themselves, and bankz quit.
Fason- Bankz should not be a GM because he is irrational and high maintenance. He has already quit the league twice so far in 4.0 and is most likely just going to quit again the next time something doesn’t go his way. Clutch seems to really have matured since that mustache started to come in and I think that will translate to his GM skills.
Duc15- I'm not going to waste these 3-5 sentences supporting Clutch. So instead I'm going to use these last sentences to say this. Gaurdians of the Galaxy was an awesome movie and I had a discussion with a buddy about it vs. the avengers. I said it was better but my friend disagreed. What do you guys think?
Dilworth- Your Honor, I am assigned to make the case for this boy to be in our esteemed League. I hereby resign. Go Rockets.
5. post a gif or series of gif of what you look like throughout the day while waiting on a sim
Devine-
Fason- When Odin has logged on in the afternoon only to quickly log off
8-12 PM
Seeing the sim in the morning
Duc15-
Dilworth-
6. who do you think is the most improved gm from 2.0 to 4.0 and why? who has regressed the most and why?
Devine-most improved is heel but honestly that didnt take much. he was really bad in 2.0. Him already making a finals appearance is way more than anyone expected from him.
most regressed is probably dirt. i dont understand what hes doing half of the time anymore.
Fason-Just going off of reputations that I had heard about when 4.0 started I would say HT is most improved. He made a big move in the creation draft to get Lanier/Gilmore and was the best team in the east for the first couple years. Then he managed to adjust and stay competitive after losing Lanier to FA. He tanked well in 3003 and now has Hakeem to go along with a likely top 3 pick this year to build around.
I can’t really answer who has regressed but I’ll say Trofie seemed to underachieve after getting the number one pick in the creation draft.
Duc15-The most improved Gm, I want to say me but I don't want to talk about myself so I will say Ocho. He seems to be making a lot of good moves and has had the Pacers competing in the East for a few years now. I will say that Ank appears to have regressed the most because I'm just not real sure what he was doing give all of JHB his picks back as well as giving him Bowie.
Dilworth- Improved: Druce or Bruns. I thought both of them were very average GM's in 2.0. They have built very solid teams in 4.0 without lucking into them like other GM's.
Declined: Probably Devine. He was decent in 3.0 but he has done absolutely nothing of any good for his franchise in 4.0.
7. i think we all agree odin is doing a fine job as commish. however, none of us are above improvement. what is 1 area of improvement he could work on as commish? what do you think he has done/does that is great?
Devine- probably the inconsistencies of the sims. i am okay with them but i wish he would update us more on when he is going to sim so that i know when i can check back in again. also, rid ourselves of demerits. seem forced and make me feel like we are in 7th grade catholic school. i think he has done pretty well on mostly everything else. his having people vote on rules is my favorite thing, gives us a voice
Fason- Only thing I can think that could be improved is a regular sim schedule.
I can’t say what he has improved on from other commissioners but I’ve been impressed with how he has been able to keep people in line. The demerits seemed to really clean things up. And whenever there is drama about something he’ll usually delay the sim for a day by telling everyone he was going to sim but their arguing forced him to wait and now he is unavailable. After that everyone seems to cool down and gets along in order to get their sim fix.
Duc 15- Like I mentioned above just the randomness of the schedule would be the one thing but everything moves very fast in this league and everyone does a great job keeping up so I think the randomness is very good for the league actually because it gets GM's to check the board a lot more often. So really his randomness isn't even an area I would say needs improvement. The best thing about Odin is how open minded he is about the way he approaches rules and things for the league. He is willing to try a lot of things that most commish's wouldn't and it is awesome.
Dilworth- I think Odin is great at finding the line between being open to new ideas and not budging on his opinions. I like Odin's commish reign very much. The only complaint is inconsistent simming but it's not bad.
8. if we did a lotto for franchises that you can be the gm of starting after this season, and you get the number 1 pick, what team are you choosing and why? what team is the last team you would take and why?
Devine- probably the mavericks idk why just sounds right
last team i want is probably the warriors because i really do h8 my team. hopefully free agency goes well and magic johnson comes home
Fason-My first pick would be the Mavs because they have two stars still in their mid-20s that are locked up for at least the next 5 years. Also they have the best defensive center in the league who is still just 21.
My last pick would be the Warriors because even though they seem to have been tanking the last 4 years all they have to show for it is Carlos Rogers and John Stockton. Feel like I would just have to trade Rogers and Stockton to start over again.
Duc15- I would choose the Mavs, they have the best player in the league locked up while he is just now in his prime although the Pelicans are close because Chuck is awesome. THe last team I would choose is the Hornets because of that Paultz contract and how he is going to be stuck for a few years.
Dilworth- I would take the Mavs because they're the best team in the league IMO and David Thompson's grades are absolutely ridiculous. Last place would be the Hornets for obvious reasons.
9. what has been your favorite 3.0 meltdown so far?
Devine- Probably druce's because it was so random and out of nowhere. It was also unexpected. It also kept me entertained for the better part of a day. Bankz rage quitting because of dump (lol) was quite hilarious to me as well and it is a close second
Fason-I’ve loved every one but my favorite was probably when Bankz quit the second time because of Dump. The hatred between Dump and Bankz made me uncomfortable but was also very entertaining. From that meltdown came the truth about what happened between Dump and the hooker. And after all of it Bankz came back about a week later wanting a team.
Duc15- Bankz when he quit the first time. I loved it because it was dump on like the first time that bankz was back and just how quick it happened was funny. I'm glad that Bankz is coming back because he is awesome for the league but just dump being able to get under his skin that fast was hilarious.
Dilworth- I hate meltdowns. So my least favorite meltdown has been Bankz when he quit. I like bankz and I think he's good for the league. I was sad to see him go for such a silly reason. I was more upset with Dump after that escapade than anyone else.
10. if we turned tmbsl into survivor, and you could vote one gm off forever, who would it be and why? keep in mind that i am pretty sensitive
Devine- probably rw because i am threatened by how good of a gm he is
Fason- I don’t dislike anybody yet so I would have to go with RV just because he hasn’t been too active lately. RV right now reminds me of the black guy or hot girl who does nothing around camp and sleeps all day.
Duc15- If we are playing survivor I would probably pick Ian because I think he would be the most useless on the Island and being trapped on an Island with him would not be fun.
Dilworth- First one off would be Dump because I'm not trying to deal with those freakouts in person. I would definitely keep Devine to show him over and over again how bad he would lose in a fight.
