1. Nets - Dwight Howard C 6'11'' 255 19 B D+ D+ B+ B A
Obvious pick here but if you don't throw some points into him I think there is going to be a problem. Rumors are that his blocking and jumping are the high grades. So who truly knows how low his inside scoring really is. I suggest pumping all of the points into him immediately. If not, you could be looking at a bust that may have high grades but produce shit numbers.
2. Thunder - Al Jefferson PF 6'10'' 255 19 B C D+ C+ B A
Waiting for the draft file pays off for the Thunder here. Really like this pick. About all I can say about that.
3. Warriors (from Clippers) - Andre Iquodola SG 6'6" 207 21 B C C B C+ A
This probably isn't where I would go with this pick but I think Devine passes up Shaun Livingston due to already having Stockton. The Warriors franchise needs an elite player and Iquodola has the possibility of bringing that. We all know he is a boom or bust prospect but Devine has to swing for the fences at this point.
4. Rockets - Shaun Livingston PG 6'7" 182 18 B- C+ B- C+ C A
I don't see Dilworth passing up Livingston. Massive PG with great grades and Dil will pump the max points into him. I think Dil gets the best pick of the draft at 1.4 after falling down the lottery. Works out sometimes.
5. Cavaliers - Josh Smith SF 6'8" 220 18 B- C C- B- B- A
Owner/GM/Coach Heel happy as hell that Josh Smith falls to him at 1.5. Smith will definitely turn into a lockdown defender. The big concern with Smith is him not shooting too many 3's. If he is made where his C grade is inflated due to his 3pt shot things could get ugly. Draft him anyways and hope he improves at PF. Also can add all of the weight and another inch of height. Nice player to pair with Hakeem.
6. Jazz - Luol Deng SF 6'8" 220 19 B- C+ C B- C A
This is the most torn I have been in this mock draft. Okafor has some great grades for a win now team but John Wall and the Jazz aren't ready yet. I think you take the prospect with the higher ceiling in Loul Deng. Gives you a nice wing defender who can score. He won't rebound at a high level but you have a nice player. After some points who knows what the software will do to him. could be a steal at 1.6
7. Raptors - Ben Gordon SG/PG 6'3" 200 21 B- B C C+ D+ A
Ben Gordon goes off of the board here in a no brainer. I'm not as high on Gordon as others. Not sure if he is really a PG or a SG. Elite scoring grades as a rookie but I just wasn't sold on him. I'm really curious to see what he does for the Raptors.
8. Grizzlies (from Warriors) - Emeka Okafor C 6'10" 252 22 B C- D A- A- C
I think this is a pretty easy pick for the Grizzlies. Need a big that can hopefully lock down the paint up in Canada. If anything you are getting a solid starter that can play defense for the next 8-10 sim seasons.
9. Raptors (from Trailblazers) - Josh Childress SF 6'8" 210 21 C+ B- C+ B- C+ B
Mr Chicken Wing goes north of the border here. He isn't great at anything but he isn't awful at anything. Could be a solid role player down the road for the Raptors if he doesn't develop any elite grades. I would not be surprised to see the Raptors take Devin Harris here and double down in the backcourt. Could also play both at PG and not have one at SG to increase the tank mode. I'm banking on him not wanting to tank anymore.
10. Hornets - Devin Harris PG 6'3" 185 21 C+ C+ B- B- D+ A
Hornets go full Khan here and have all of the Pg's on their roster. Harris has the potential to be a solid starter for his entire career. Not sure he ever turns into a top 5 player at his position but he should be pretty good. Good value here for Charlotte.
11. Nets (from Bullets) - Delonte West PG 6'4" 180 20 C+ B C+ B- C- B
Nets take West over JR Smith here. I don't think Scat will have the ability to pump up JR's defense due to maybe putting points into Howard. At least that's what I am thinking. Not sure up there in hipsterville.
12. Grizzlies (from Bucks) - Kevin Martin SG 6'7" 185 21 B- B- C C+ C- B
Grizzlies get a nice boom of scoring here at the 2 spot with not so awful defense. I know he has B potential but I like Martin as a prospect over JR smith.
13. Thunder (from Pacers) - JR Smith SG 6'6" 210 19 B- B C C C A
Thunder can get a scorer at the 2 spot who doesn't defend. Should allow him to tank for another year if he chooses to and see where he is at with his defense after a 2nd TC and some points. Nice project here at 13.
14. Jazz (from Suns) - Pavel Podkolzin C 7'5" 303 19 C+ C C B- C+ A
Think the Jazz take Pavel here and hope he can develop into a hell of a center. Can make him even bigger in the weight department. Could make the season more interesting in Utah and give Wall his Muresan.
