1. Derrick Coleman PF 6'10" 230 22 B C- D+ B B+ A 100
- D Cole looks like one of the best big man prospects we've had in the past few drafts. Better grades than Dwight imo. Great scoring grades, defense, and rebounding. He's a little thin but he can be beefed up to a solid 250 lbs which shouldn't hurt him. Maybe he could get a +1 at Center? Odin recently discovered how to make players best at PF so we could see our first true PF in TMBSL.
2. Gary Payton PG 6'4" 175 21 B C B- B+ C A 99
- I have The Glove below Coleman because of the C outside. I don't think it will hinder him due to a hopefully high potential and TC's/RC's but the element of the unknown drops him to [HASH]2. This guy is a beast everywhere else though. B inside and C rebounding for a PG's is huge. Could he be the league leader in steals his rookie year? How much is ved willing to give up?
3. Bo Kimble SG 6'4" 190 23 B- B C- B C+ B 97
- Kimble's grades are off the chain. Pretty elite SG grades everywhere except potential. He will be an impact player from year one so it will be interesting to see where he lands. Maybe a draft day trade could land him with a contender? His age is a little worrisome in that his career could be shorter than some other guys but that usually doesn't scare teams away.
4. Kendall Gill SG 6'5" 195 21 B C+ C B- C A 97
- I have Kendall tied with Bo because of his potential and age. His grades are worse but still very impressive. These are usually the grades that the software loves to explode. This is a four player draft imo.
5. Hank Gathers SF 6'7" 235 23 B+ C- C- B- B B 93
- Hank plans to make his professional basketball debut in TMBSL next season and we're dying to see what he can bring to the table. He's an interesting prospect. A SF with B+ is oh so sexy but that C- outside makes everyone but George McGinnis cringe. Can Gathers face the adversity? He's the type of player who leaves everything on the court so I would bet on him.
6. Willie Burton SF 6'8" 210 22 B- C+ C- B C A 89
- I probably have this man too high but there really isn't a great option for [HASH]6. The draft gets pretty meh starting here. Burton could be good. He has great D and I like his B- C+ scoring grades as a SF over the C+ B- that we see a lot.
7. Dwyane Schintzius C 7'1" 260 22 C D D+ B B B 88
- Mark Eaton Jr. imo. Dwyane will be a very valuable piece to a contender if he develops that defense and can grab 10+ boards. C D scoring means he won't shoot at all.
8. Elden Campbell PF 6'11" 215 22 B- D+ D+ B C+ A 87
- These are the type of grades that you like and hate. The defense/rebounding is good but B- D+ scoring means he could score 12 PPG at 38% which is quite annoying. It's a risk that could pay off pretty well though. I have Campbell over Spencer because he's younger and he's a PF.
9. Felton Spencer C 7'0" 265 23 B- D+ D+ B C+ A 86
- Same exact grades as Campbell but older and a center. Apparently this guy was famous at the beginning of 2.0 which I wasn't around for. Ask Ian.
10. Lionel Simmons SF 6'7" 210 22 B- C+ C- B B- B 86
- These are pretty sweet grades. I could see Simmons taken in the 7-9 range depending on the needs of the time. The B- rebounding is a nice add on to his B defense. He has a good scoring base to build on. The question is his potential.
11. Dennis Scott SF 6'8" 229 22 C B+ C- C+ C A 84
- Knock down shooters at SF have never done well with this software. There's a lot of factors that go into that but in theory it shouldn't be an issue for a team with an outside focus. Best case scenario for Scott is that he's no change at SG and his GM puts him in an outside focused offense. Unless Odin goes roque and gives him a high inside rating with no jumping or strength. Then he'll be really good.
12. Loy Vaught PF 6'9" 230 22 B- C- C C+ B A 83
- Some GM's are probably going to be pretty high on this guy. I'm not a huge fan of these grades. B- C- scoring isn't anything special. C+ defense doesn't help much. The B rebounding looks nice but rookie rebounding grades for big men are often a tease. I'm biased because I landed 1.4 in the Mikan/Alcindor draft with 1.1 odds and took Artis Gilmore because of his sexy B+ rebounding. Ugh.
13. Tate George SG 6'5" 190 22 C+ C+ C B+ B- B 81
- Pretty cool looking grades. Could be a nice piece to a contender if he doesn't shoot too much. George will rebound and defend. I like this guy but not really with a lotto pick.
14. Gerald Glass SF 6'5" 221 23 B C C- B C B 81
- I'm usually a fan of the B C scoring grades for SF's but Gerald's C rebounding and B potential scare me away. Also he's 23 which is lame.
15. Gregor Fucka C 7'1" 225 23 B- C D+ C+ B- B 79
- I don't know why people like this guy so much? Because his name is funny? Grow up you fools.
