1. Charles Barkley SF 24 6’6” 267 B+ B+ B+ A- A- B

Heading into the draft there was a bit of a debate whether Barkley was the second or third best prospect in the draft. Four seasons later and a finals MVP award under his belt Barkley has proven to easily be the best player of the 3004 class. A case could be made that Barkley is already the second best player in the league in just his fourth season. So far this season Barkley is averaging 25 points, 11.9 rebounds, 4.2 assists, 1.8 steals and 2.9 blocks while shooting 45.1%.
2. Michael Jordan SG 24 6’6” 215 B A- A- A- A- C
Originally: 1.1 Michael Jordan SG 6'6'' 195 21 B B- C+ B C A
Jordan falls to [HASH]2 due to Barkley being a sim god. Jordan has been very good so far becoming one of the best shooting guards in the league by his second year and leading the Sixers to back to back 50 win seasons. This season Jordan is averaging 28.8 points, 5.6 rebounds, 4.5 assists and 1.6 steals while shooting 46.8%. Every team that will have cap room this offseason is eagerly awaiting to see what will happen with Jordan and free agency since he is a 0/0/0 guy.
3. Champ Godbolt PF 22 7’3” 310 B- B- C- A B B
Originally: 1.12 Champ Godbolt C 7'2'' 275 19 C B- D B C A
Godbolt was the most intriguing prospect going into the draft, was deemed be a boom or bust pick with those grades and size. Godbolt has proven to be the best pick in the draft jumping nine spots. Godbolt is already the best power forward in the league earning first team honors last season. This season he is averaging 23.3 points, 13.2 rebounds and 3.4 blocks. I put Godbolt ahead of Robertson due to the scarcity at the position.
4. Alvin Robertson PG 25 6’3” 190 C+ A- A A-C B
Originally: 1.6 Alvin Robertson SG 6'3'' 185 22 C+ C+ B B C B
The Timberwolves made a really good decision by taking Robertson over Stockton. While Stockton has been solid Robertson has become one of the best point guards in the league after making a huge leap this season while playing in a very fast pace/outside focused offense. For the season Robertson is averaging 27.5 points, 10.1 assists, 6.1 rebounds and 2.5 steals.
5. Sam Perkins PF 25 6’8” 240 B+ B-C A- B+ B
Originally: 1.5 Sam Perkins PF 6'8'' 235 22 B- B- C- B- B- B
At the time of lottery it seemed as though whoever got the 5th pick would be really disappointed at just missing out on the top four prospects but Sam Perkins has far exceeded expectations of just being a good offensive player. Surprisingly Perkins has proven to be an elite shot blocker while still being a really good scorer. Perkins is currently leading the league in blocks with 4.8 while adding 10.8 rebounds and 22.9 points on 47.8% shooting.
6. Hakeem Olajuwon C 24 7’0” 270 B C- C- A- A A
Originally: 1.3 Hakeem Olajuwon C 7'0" 255 21 B D+ D+ B B+ A
Going into the draft Olajuwon was right there with Barkley as the second or third best prospect but falls to sixth in the redraft since he has been a bit disappointing on the offensive end. Olajuwon has only averaged 18.1 points the last three seasons after averaging almost 30 during his rookie year. Still Olajuwon is already a DPOY candidate averaging 13.9 rebounds and 3.7 blocks this season and will be deserving of a max contract this offseason.
7. Terence Stansbury SG 25 6’5” 190 C+ A- C B+ C C
Originally: 1.12 Terence Stansbury SG 6'5'' 175 22 C+ B C B C- B
Even though Stansbury is having a miserable season he still should be considered at worst the 7th best player from the 3004 draft. For his career Stansbury is averaging 21.5 points, 5.2 rebounds, 3.6 assists and 1.9 steals. If Stansbury can’t recover this season it could be a blessing in disguise for Yawn if Stansbury offers to resign for Walter Davis-like discount since he is a 0/0/0 guy.
8. Sam Bowie C 25 7’1” 260 A C C A- B+ B
Orignally: 1.4 Sam Bowie C 7'1'' 245 22 B+ C- C- B+ B B
Bowie looked like a massive bust coming into this season but has become a really productive big man while playing next to Bill Walton. This season Bowie is averaging 24.5 points, 10.9 rebounds, 4 assists and 1.9 blocks while shooting 44.3%. Bowie has come a long way since being traded along with three first round picks for Ernie Grunfeld during his rookie year. Bowie could prove to be worth a max contract if he keeps this up.
9. John Stockton PG 6’1” 175 C+ B A+ A- D+ C
Originally: 1.7 John Stockton PG 6'1 170 C+ B- B+ B D+ B
Stockton as expected has become a solid point guard. His assist numbers seem pretty low considering he has A+ handles. For the season he is averaging 22 points, 7.8 assists, 4.2 rebounds and 1.9 steals. His scoring average is inflated due to being on a tanking team so it will be interesting to see how well he does if he ever gets the chance to start for a decent team.
10. Kevin Willis C 25 7’0” 232 A- C- D+ A- A- C
Originally: 1.8 Kevin Willis PF 7'0" 220 22 C+ D+ D B B A
Willis has become a very good defensive big man. For the season Willis is averaging 13 rebounds and 3.9 blocks while adding 17.6 points. Problem is he is taking 16 shots a game and only shooting 41.3%. Willis’ development was screwed up when he had points put into his scoring grades instead of attributes that would have improved his defense. Willis would probably be [HASH]8 if he didn’t shoot so much.
11. Otis Thorpe PF 6’9” 230 B- C- D+ A- A- C
Originally: 1.13 Otis Thorpe PF 6'9'' 230 22 B C- D+ B+ B+ C
Going into the draft Thorpe was viewed as a safe pick at the end of the lottery due to his already solid rebounding and defensive grades. It took a few years but after a good training camp Thorpe has become the type of player who is a really nice third big. This season Thorpe is averaging 13 points, 10.2 rebounds and 2.2 blocks.
12. Mel Turpin C 24 6’11” 250 B- C D- B+ B+ C
Originally: 1.10 Mel Turpin C 6'11'' 245 21 B- C D+ B- B- A
Turpin had pretty sexy grades on his draft profile but those grades haven’t improved too much so far. For his career Turpin is averaging 18.3 points, 9.3 rebounds and 1.6 blocks. He is only a career 41% shooter but has improved in each of the last two seasons. Turpin could still be considered somewhat of a mystery though since he has been on a tanking team for his whole career.
13. Tony Campbell SF 24 6’8” 225 B- B C B+ C+ C
Originally: 1.9 Tony Campbell SF 6'8'' 215 21 C+ C+ C B C+ A
Campbell gets the last spot in the lottery pretty much by default due to the rest of the class not being very productive or getting many minutes. He has decent grades for a backup wing but is only shooting 41.9% for his career. He will probably be LLE guy or roster filler for his career due to his B+ defense. If Skrouse were still here he’d probably be really pissed at himself for passing on Godbolt and Stansbury.
