 Armen GilliamPosition: PF Age: 23 Height: 6'9 Weight: 230 School: UNLV B+ C+ C- B- B- BAfter spending a year in junior college, Gilliam spent 3 years at UNLV where he steadily improved each season. Gilliam really broke out as a Senior at UNLV becoming one of the nation’s best players and a finalist for the Wooden Award. “The Hammer”, as he is affectionately known, is a prolific inside scorer who can finish with the best of them. He is a 58% shooter for his career and shot 60% as a senior at UNLV. He isn’t only a dunker though, he has a developed offensive game on the inside. Not a huge threat from beyond the arc, but Armen is a capable mid-range shooter for a big man. Defensively, he won’t kill you and was more apt to grab a steal than block a shot. He is a capable rebounder but scouts expected more from him on the glass for someone who is so dominant inside offensively. |
