A long, lanky scorer who could not be contained at the collegiate level, Durant enters the draft as one of the most talented scoring prospects the league has seen in years. He has a fantastic shooting stroke for a player of any size, but when combined with his height and his ability to get his shot off at almost any time, he becomes terrifying to defenses. The 6'9 Durant made 2.3 threes per game while shooting over 40% from deep. He can score on the inside as well, but needs to work on his ball handling a bit. He is a very good rebounder as well pulling in 11 per game as a freshman. His defense receives much less attention, but he is more than capable and averaged 2 steals and 2 blocks a game at Texas. Kevin is extremely light for his frame and doesn't display the ideal amount of strength that scouts would like. He needs to continue to add strength and if he fills out the way most expect, there is a great chance he ends up the best player in the class. |
