ppl bitched about needing to buy grades for the foreign scrubs, so much so that it was done away with by dirt's tenure as commish in 2.0. Bringing it back for every single prospect would rank on par with asking mops to commish again on the scale of bad ideas.
that and the fact that Odin would literally need to make every single prospect's grades AS they're drafted, in 2.0 software, you can't finish the class ahead of time and the "hide" their actual grades, once their grades are made and uploaded, it is displayed in full.

I wasn't around for when people needed to buy grades, so I don't know about that. Was it with Casino points? I was think everybody would get 3 prospects that they could select to see the full grade set. And there wouldn't be anything preventing Odin from making every prospect and putting them into the software normally. He just wouldn't upload it to the website or restrict access to the webpage. |

I just want an A in defense to mean someone is elite in defense not the prerequisite to be a starter. Mystery grades are insane and dumb. then I have to fucking wade through a draft file every fucking season. Fuck that fucking shit.
I like the idea of at least weighing classes so there is at least some depth, but again that is only possible if "elite A grades" aren't required to be part of a 5 man rotation. Otherwise you can talk about depth all you want but the one dimensional guys that traditionally comprise depth are useless.
I don't like random classes because I'm a nerd and I like reliving the early 90s and the thought of James Harden trying to play on a team with guys that played 80s style defense would make blood pour from my eyes.

there is no "restricting access", the only limit odin has is to choose what files he uploads, unfortunately once a rookie is made, he is part of the "players" database, so unless he chooses to restrict access to ALL players, there is no way to hide prospect grades once he's made them in the software.
and yea you should probably consult mj and dirt on how to upload, filezilla and 2.0 is fucking ancient compared to 3.0's software, it takes like a good couple of hours just to figure out how to upload correct. (I'm not sure I even remember the full correct steps anymore)
mess around with it and upload a couple of fake seasons to get the hang of it.

The idea of not having grades shown is fucking retarded. If your going to do that to future drafts then do it to the creation draft... just a stupid idea.
Also I hate that the years are being randomized.

why do you hate the years being randomized? My biggest issue is limiting of future picks that can be traded. Like I said in shout if this was changed back to what we had in 2.0 I could overlook the randomizing of draft years. |

I'm not saying everyone did, but I think having Kobe vs Lebron is fun, same with MJ coming in and going against Isaiah, Larry, and Magic. I don't care to see Lebron go against Bill Russell. Again, I just don't think it's necessary for the league. If we were struggling to fill up and wanted to mix it up some, sure. |
