3006 Lottery Re-Draft
1. Nets - Emeka Okafor – Originally drafted 1.8
C 22 6'10'' 252 B C- D A- A- C
C 25 6'10'' 262 B+ C- D+ A A- A (+3, +2 pot)
Okafor established himself as the gem of this class from his first TC when he increased him inside scoring, defense, and potential. He has been a consistent 22/12 guy from Druce through his first three seasons and will be maxed this offseason.
2. Thunder - Shaun Livingston - Originally drafted 1.3
PG 18 6'7''182 B- C+ B- C+ C A
SF 21 6'8'' 187 B- B A- A- C+ B (+10, -1 pot)
Livingston was prematurely labeled as a bust after his first TC when he saw a drop in potential and very little improvement across the board. His move to SF has rejuvenated his career and now he’s a mini mini mini Magic.
3. Cavaliers - Al Jefferson – Originally drafted 1.2
PF 19 6'10'' 255 B C D+ C+ B A
PF 22 6'11'' 265 A- C- D+ B+ A- B (+6, -1 pot)
Al was a late addition to the class as his profile was mistakenly left off of the list. JHB snagged him at 1.2 right after he was added to the file and he’s been a solid player so far. His first TC was great, then he didn’t really improve. He received a huge bump in important categories this past TC so it will be interesting to see if he has a significant increase in production this season.
4. Rockets - Dwight Howard – Originally drafted 1.1
C 19 6'11'' 255 B D+ D+ B+ B A
C 22 7'0'' 260 B+ D+ D- A A- A (+3)
Dwight has been disappointing. Many GM’s predicted his current state of being but it’s still sad. It’s hard to blame Dwight for this one. We all knew he would have to go to a GM that would at least +8 his jumper and inside scoring. Unfortunately he went to Scat who gave him zero points and only 5 lbs. There is still hope for Dwight. He clearly has high potential and he has all of his upgrades available. Hopefully Hebrew will write some articles and give Dwight some points.
5. Warriors - Josh Smith – Originally drafted 1.5
SF 18 6'8" 220 B- C C- B- B- A
SF 22 6'9'' 220 B- B- C A- B+ A (+8)
I like Josh Smith a lot. He blocks a ton of shots, rebounds well, and has a great jumper. His FG% blows but that can be improved with a +8 in inside scoring. It will be interesting to see what type of contract he gets this offseason.
6. Celtics - Jameer Nelson – Originally drafted 1.26
PG 22 5'11'' 195 B- B- B- C D+ B
PG 25 5'11'' 195 B A A- B C- B (+12)
Jameer has been the biggest surprise of the draft. If any of you took my Big Board as truth, you would know that Jameer should have been a fringe lotto pick. I want Jameer to be traded to a team that can give him significant minutes so we can see what he can do.
7. Raptors - JR Smith – Originally drafted 1.9
SG 19 6'6'' 210 B- B C C C A
SG 22 6'6'' 210 B A C+ C+ C+ B (+7, -1 pot)
JR has turned into a very nice player. He’s proven to be a good scorer on pretty good percentages. He’ll be a solid role player for the rest of his career. I like his C+’s across the board.
8. Grizzlies - Dorrell Wright – Originally drafted 1.23
SG 18 6'7'' 210 B- C+ C- C+ C- A
SG 21 6'8'' 215 B A- C B C- B (+8, -1 pot)
Dorrell just found a new home in Orlando and he’s ready to earn a contract. He’s got warm weather and a title team now, two things he’s never experienced. Can this be the year where he proves that he can perform on a non-tanking team?
9. Raptors - Sebastian Telfair – Originally drafted 1.20
PG 19 5'11'' 165 C B- B C+ D A
PG 22 5'11'' 165 C A- A+ A- C- B (+13, -1 pot)
Sebass has boomed. Great pickup by Druce here. If he can +1 his scoring and defense then he could be a legitimate starter on a championship level squad. Telfair is another guy that will be interesting to see what type of contract he hauls in.
10. Hornets - Luke Jackson – Originally drafted 1.21
SF 22 6'7'' 215 C+ B C+ C+ C B
SG 25 6’7” 215 C+ A B- B+ C+ B (+8)
Luke has kind of boomed lately. He’s been way under the radar of many GM’s, myself included. He’s starting at SF this season for the first time in his career so this is when we can see if he’s legit or not.
11. Nets - Andre Iguodala – Originally drafted 1.4
SG 20 6'6'' 207 B C C B C+ A
SG 23 6'6'' 212 B+ C+ C+ A- C B (+4, -1 pot)
This one is sensitive. I had high hopes for this man. I still think he is a solid starter and great first guard off the bench. I haven’t been able to give him enough minutes or play him in the right offense so he’s still a little bit of a mystery.
11. Bucks - Ben Gordon – Originally drafted 1.6
SG 21 6'3'' 200 B- B C C+ D+ A
SG 24 6'3'' 200 B- A- C C+ C- B (+3, -1 pot)
A disappointing pick for Sir 2poor. Gordon just couldn’t develop enough to overcome his size. Like Iggy, he would be a great first guard off the bench for a contending team.
13. Warriors - Ha Seung-Jin – Originally drafted 2.1
C 18 7'3'' 305 C D+ D- C+ C+ A
C 21 7'4'' 305 C+ D+ D A- A- B (+10, -1 pot)
I picked up this dude in the 2nd round and he’s been a really solid rotational big for me. He has improved in every TC and he’s humongous. Really happy to have snagged him instead of Robert Swift.
