3010 Draft Lotto Big Board - Mock Draft
David "The Admiral" Robinson
Position: C
Age: 24 (22)
Height: 7'1
Weight: 235
School: United States Naval Academy
A- D+ D A A- C
The Admiral is the perfect fit for phily. With a blank page as a roster and waiting 2 seasons to get this guy would be lightning in a bottle. He will be a beast when he comes into the league and should be an instant impact big. Fason can tank a few more years with this guy on the shelf.
2. Scottie Pippen
Position: SF
Age: 22
Height: 6'7
Weight: 210
School: Central Arkansas
B C C+ B B A
The 2nd selection in this years tmbsl draft is a bit more shaky. I personally like Scottie who can be the next Larry Kenon. He is going to get assits at the 3 and give you points rebounds and anything else you may want from a small forward. Some GMs will shy away because of a C outside rating but i believe Inside scoring is the main squeeze when looking into a young prospect.
3. Gary Bossert
Position: SG
Age: 23
Height: 6'4
Weight: 190
School: Niagara
C+ B+ C B C A
Bossert the Niagaran Nightmare special looks to be the 3rd man taken off the board. Bankz can smile and take the man given to him. I think Bossert has awesome grades but depending on how heavy that C+ inside is will determine how truly elite he will become. Bossert will be the first guy with the opurrtunity to come up with A+ outside given the very few we've had thus far in 4.0.
4. Dennis Hopson
Age: 22
Position: SG
Height: 6'5
Weight: 200
School: The Ohio State University
B- B- C+ B- C+ A
Dennis looks very legit in my eyes while looking at the draft file. We have some top talent in this years draft but having C+ or better in every cat looks scary. He looks to be a Moncrief type prospect and everyone knows how well he can shoot the ball. The Ohio State grad should come into his own after a few TCs. Lucky for us he is having to take his talents to ATL where RW sits upon his throne.
5. Kevin "The Mayor" Johnson
Position: PG
Age: 21
Height: 6'1
Weight: 180
School: Cal
B C+ B- C+ C- A
This pick will determine if Dump thinks nuemann is the answer at the point for the franchise in Boston. The Garden has been a bit stale after losing Lanier and shipping out a talented team because the window was closed early. I think Booker is stout at the 3/4 but if Dump goes best avaliable which i think he should, The Mayor should be the next guy taken. When looking at a 21 year old with B outside and B- handles at the 1.5 slot...its hard to pass up like passing in Dublin without a dam Dr.Pepper.
6. Armen Gilliam
Position: PF
Age: 23
Height: 6'9
Weight: 230
School: UNLV
B+ C+ C- B- B- B
I've seen Fason show love towards Armen these past few days in tmbsl. On the phone lines and talking to some of these GMs the new guy could really do no wrong at the 6 slot. With some solit talent left on the board and having no direction he must go he should be gold. With C+ outside to go along side the B+ he is a bit like Givens who went 1.3 not so long ago. Those B potential guys can really get solid 90+ so i wouldnt shy away only because o the SHOWN POT.
7. Derrick McKey
Position: SF
Age: 21
Height: 6'9
Weight: 205
School: Alabama
B B- C- C+ C+ B
Derrickk could be the missing link for the rip city blaze in 3011. With a win now mindset for Duc he could plug this primed wing next to X to give him a boost scorer in the pacific division. Duc knowing this next year will be dificult with a heavy west, he can either trade this stud prospect for a win now player or sit on him and see how his team looks the next season. With a Dale Ellis type grade set he could end up the steal of the draft at 1.7, we've seen 2nd Rounders boost so any player taken in the top 10 could become a starter.
8. Reggie Miller
Position: SG
Age: 22
Height: 6'7
Weight: 185
School: UCLA
C+ B+ C C+ C- B
Reggie falls to 1.8 in my mock/board only because of such crappy defense and inside scoring. He is 22 with B pot which is a little shaky but thats not my biggest worry. My Biggest worry is all those C+ and lower grades. He can be an elite jump shooter but in tmbsl sometimes you need more than that. If his inside is under the surface he could be a beast. Depending on how Odin builts Miller will determine if he can become as elite as he was in early 2.0.
9. Kenny "The Jet" Smith
Position: PG
Age: 22
Height: 6'3
Weight: 170
School: North Carolina
C+ B B+ C+ D+ B
The Jet is by far Best Available thus far in the draft. This is a perfect oppurtinity to draft a replace for DJ. With elite pre-rookie TC grades in Outside/Handles, Kenny could easily become Alvin Robertson or a player of that magnitude. This Draft is very heavy in the lotto and Nets could come out of here with Scat Luck and drafting the steal this deep in the draft.
10. Bart Kofoed
Position: SG
Age: 23
Height: 6'4
Weight: 210
School: Nebraska-Kearney
B- B- C B C B
This is so fitting and i think KoFoed looks better than some of the players already drafted. If GMs can overlook that he didnt have a top profile his starting grades are just as impressive as some top 5 picks in last years draft. He is a bit short but he is only -1 to Bo who went 1.4 just a few years ago. The DM sitting at 10 knows who he created and could go with a handful of other prospects that are still on the board.
11. Mark Jackson
Position: PG
Age: 22
Height: 6'1
Weight: 180
School: St. John's
B- C+ A- B- D+ B
I don't think Jackson goes here but i like his starting grades. When i'm drafting a bit later in the draft a PG is one of the positions the crazy fbb sotware favors. His A- Handles alone already shows he will be a player that stays in the league for some time. To be completely honest i really don't see Fason making this pick. I think he keeps his roster bare boned and gains more draft picks for the upcoming drafts or picks he can sell to GMs who will be trying to sell off once its time for him to compete. I mean this guy already looks better than Norm Nixon who was drafted top 5 how many years ago.
12. Joe Wolf
Position: C
Age: 23
Height: 6'11
Weight: 230
School: North Carolina
B- B- C+ C C B
Buster has started his rebuild and has a ton of picks in his back pocket. If he doesnt like a prospect here i know he trades it. But if he doesnt i like Wolf here at 1.12. Odin is a big fan of making bigs SFs and sometimes he doesnt. If he has 100 Jumper with that B- outside its a must draft at this point. C defense is very concerning but maybe that can change with some Dump Bucks. For a Late lotto it might be the time to take a risk on a Champ Type big that could boost your FG%.
13. Olden Polynice
Position: C
Age: 23
Height: 6'11
Weight: 220
School: Virginia
B+ D D+ C B- A
The New guy has a 2nd pick in this years deep lotto. Big Pocket Change Poly looks to one of the better prospects left on the board. Depending on which way he wants to go he can draft the best offensive big left on the board. Much like Wolfe the C defense is a bit meh but he could be a great scorer down the road. There are a few other prospects i like such as the China and Greece guys who could easily be taken here instead.
