the only downside is you wont be able to put any bonus points into his jumper unless you do it next year

70 40 split is C+ or B-
if that is B-, then 70 30 or 70 35 is definitely C+ (which is how I made guys like Wade and whatnot)

i still think it'd be great if we were able to see all grades for every attribute like in the baseball league

wouldn't that remove like all of the drama from the draft? gary bossert never would have slid to 9, or whatever stupid late slot odin got him in
|
|
|
Post by Druce on May 23, 2014 12:28:22 GMT -6
im not sure it would remove drama, the draft would just be more accurate as far as the best players going early. we still wouldn't see potential, just individual grades

i guess im in the minority in wanting to know what players are good at instead of just guessing. i think the team pages and displayed grades should remain the same, then you click on the player profile and it gives you the numbered attribute grades.

Not a fan of seeing the whole grade set. Also not a fan of Magic playing for the Clippers. He doesn't like it either.

besides not being a fan of numbers over letters, its also impossible to display them in 2.0's software for uploads

someone please tell me one negative of seeing the whole grade set on the player page because there should be some risk to the draft, just like in real life. and this is said as someone who got raped by the draft worse than anyone in 2.0.

because potential isn't the biggest factor in a prospect, starting grades are. You take away the mystery behind the grades, then Odin/whoever will never be able to make a "commish special" sleeper players that slip the the bottom of the 1st round or 2nd round.

Looking at 10 letters per player is a bit much imo. I look at % and stats

Guys like Scoonie Penn, Charlie, Michael Redd etc would be top 10 picks when they have the displayed grades of someone who only warrants a 1.20s pick or 2nd round picks.
Getting lucky in the draft is part of the process, same w/ resignings, FA, TC etc.

|
Post by Druce on May 23, 2014 12:47:40 GMT -6
so why do we have to let "getting lucky" be more a part of the league?
