Dil's 3012 Big Board
1. Ray Allen SG 6'5" 205 21 B- B C B- C A 100
- Clearly 1.1 imo. Ray is in a prime spot to continue his 2.0 reign with these starting grades. Allen has close to the best scoring grades that a SG prospect can have. Hopefully he has a high potential and is drafted by a GM that will put points into him and surround him with good players.
2. Kobe Bryant SG 6'6" 199 18 B C+ C+ C+ C A 98
- I had a tough time ranking 1.2-1.5. I think a lot of it depends on personal preference and the current state of the team that is drafting. I like Kobe at 1.2 because of his scoring grades, age, name, and lack of a glaring weakness. I much prefer B C+ scoring to C+ B for a SG because I think improving outside scoring is much easier to do than improving inside scoring. Kobe could possibly be 6'7" 239 lbs
3. Shareef Abdur-Rahim PF 6'9" 225 20 B+ C- C- B- B- A 97
- This guy came out of nowhere. He has some of the best starting scoring grades tmbsl has ever seen. With scoring like that you would expect his defense and rebounding to be lacking but B- B- with A potential is totally reasonable. Shareef looks like a beast and will be an impact player from Day 1. The only concern is his size but he's only 20 so he can add a good amount of weight.
4. Allen Iverson PG 6'1" 165 21 B C+ C+ B D+ A 96
- AI is an interesting prospect. His scoring and defense are elite but his handles are going to determine his career imo. If it's a bad C+ that is low in handling and doesn't improve then he could be an irrelevant player because he's not big enough to be a highly effective SG. A high risk reward player.
5. Stephon Marbury PG 6'2" 180 19 B- B- B- C+ D+ A 96
- I have Starbury tied with AI and I would probably draft him ahead of AI if I was presented with the choice. B- B- scoring is my favorite starting PG scoring grades. He has good handles and his defense isn't terrible. He's only 19 and should have pretty high potential. I like Stephon.
6. Chalky Studebaker SF 6'9" 219 17 B B- C B- C+ B 95
- Chalky returns. I think the majority of the league would enjoy seeing Chalky back in a Laker uniform. He looks like a stud prospect. Apparently he has the same grades as 2.0 but he's much younger this time around. The only reason Chalky isn't much higher on my board is his B potential. He has Ray Allen level grades.
7. Marcus Camby C 6'11" 220 22 B D+ D+ B+ B+ B 94
- Dude looks like a beast. Camby starts with elite defense and rebounding to go along with very good inside scoring. He will definitely be an impact player from day one and could be a very quality starter with just a few points in him. The only question is his D+ outside scoring.
8. Zydrunas Ilgauskas C 7'3" 238 22 B C- D B- B- B 92
- Big Z has some really nice starting grades. He looks like a great scorer and sufficient defender and rebounder. The teller will be his potential. He also kind of looks like Odin irl so he could be special.
9. Antoine Walker PF 6'8" 224 20 B- C C C+ B- A 91
- Walker looks like a pretty good SF to me. He could be a good PF too. His A potential is very nice. There's no real weakness in him expect for his size which isn't an issue at SF. Taking Walker here is a gamble based on his ability to play SF or not but it could pay off.
10. Ben Wallace C 6'9" 240 22 C- D- D B B+ B 90
- Very accurate grades. I like Ben a lot. I would probably take him above Antoine and possibly Big Z because he's a sure thing and the type of player that every team needs. He obviously doesn't have the upside though. LOL career 41% FT shooter irl.
11. Kerry Kittles SG 6'5" 179 22 B- B- C+ C+ C+ B 88
- B-'s and C+'s across the board, I like that. Kittles has the ability to be a do-it-all SG or possibly develop into a really nice PG with a committed GM. Kittles is a very nice late lotto pick.
12. Walter McCarty PF 6'10" 230 22 B- C+ D+ C+ B- B 84
- This dude looks like a great SF and a pretty good PF. Odin has proven to create a few guys in each class that are different from their listed positions, McCarty looks like a prime candidate.
13. Jermaine O'Neal C 6'11" 224 18 B- D+ C- C+ C+ A 84
- These grades are a little disappointing to me. It's going to be pretty tough for JO to be a productive player with these starting scoring grades. He's very young so he has a long time to grow if he has high potential. Hopefully he lands with a team that will pump points and lbs into him.
14. Othella Harrington PF 6'9" 235 23 B+ C- D B- B- C 84
- Harrington will be an effective scorer immediately. His defense and rebounding leave a lot to be desired and his potential doesn't give any hint that they will improve. Kind of a meh player with C potential imo.
15. Derek Fisher PG 6'1" 199 22 C C+ B B C B 81
- Ole D Fish makes a tmbsl appearance. Those scoring grades are rough but his handles, defense, and rebounding are about as good as you can get. The B potential isn't bad so Fish could turn out to be a pretty good player depending on his scoring. Or he could be awful.
