I'd like to start giving out awards voted on by humans and not given out by the software.
I'd like to maximize GM participation so we have the most fair results.
Here is what I propose.
I will send to each GM a ballot and, if the GM responds with a diligently filled out response, they will receive dump bucks. By diligently I mean that they have taken the time to consider each vote and not mailed it in. Any questionable ballots will be anonymously put up for league-wide vote. I don't anticipate this will be a problem, but to make this work folks need to think about it.
I will take the results, write it up, include some pictures, and post it as an article each year.
The ballot will look something like this.

I'm a fan of this idea but I think you'd get enough responses that dump bucks would be unneccessary.

Why didn't it last? Lack of GM participation? Lazy organizer? Lack of participation from GM's along with the organizer lacking interest after a couple of season. I think the Dump Bucks is a good idea I just don't think Odin will approve it. But that could keep GM's a part of the process. |

I actually think offering dump bucks will cause more people to mail it in than not offering a reward (because disinterested folks generally mail it in, and would be more likely to try to mail it in if they got a reward). |

I don't believe incentivizing to ensure a solid final product counts as a handout. If anything it's a solid expenditure.
Not all social expenditures are gubberment handouts.

Majority has it with with no dump bucks. Thanks everyone for responding.
Ballots will be sent out before the playoffs and results will be posted before the draft (or sooner if folks respond timely).
