Bankz 3013 Big Board
1. Okafor ~ What has been said about Okafor that hasn't been said about Terry Mills... Ian punch lines aside this dude looks to be the next great big man of this league. He has a old school NBA body and can still has room to grow. He's also 19 and Dirt always loves the young bucks.
2. Johnson ~ One of my favorite players in college basketball. I may have him a bit high but with the lack of legit SG and SF in this class I have no problem elevating him to the 2nd best player on my board. He has room to grow and sitting currently at 243 he should be able to abuse smaller wings.
3. Turner ~ Ian shout masturbation of Turner paid off. A big man who will knock down all FT's and good side to go along with it Turner is likely to go off the draft board quickly. I would not be shocked to see Turner go [HASH]1 if the lotto holds form and Ian gets the pick.
4. Wright ~ Wright might be the first curve ball on my board. But I love this guys skill set. The most polished PG in this draft. He is older than the more hyped PG prospects in this class and some may shy away from his B potential. If he falls some lotto team is going to do back flips.
5. Mudiay ~ If you do have hesitation over Wright's B potential than Mudiay is your guy. The kid looks like more of a score first PG but his height and ability to grow make him the best of the teenage PGs.
6. Towns ~ Towns is flying so far under the radar and i'm not sure why. The guy has the size you look for in a elite big man. He is going to need more TLC over Okafor but he will end up being a 7'1 giant with legit skill. Oh he is from Kentucky and Dump think that's important.
7. Russell ~ I love Russell and I only have him ranked as the 7th best prospect in this class. I think that is a strong indication that this draft is very strong. I would love to see a better inside grade on Russell and it gives me some hesitation. His passing skill is without question the best in this league. A good body for a Sim league PG this kid has it all.
8. Alexander ~ The best PF in this class. Cliff has B potential as a 19 year old. I feel like there is a very good chance he gets a bump come TC in that category. Cliff is a great rebounding machine who if his offense never truly develops will give the GM who selects him a player with at least one elite skill set.
9. Oubre ~ Like i mentioned before the SF and SG class on paper looks weak. Oubre is a young guy who you could take a chance on at the tail end of the lottery and hope the software turns into a beast considering his age. A common theme of this draft are these young guys who will grow. Oubre has nice size and with some luck could be a steal.
10. Looney ~ Looney was one of the better prospects in high school, took his talents to UCLA and continued to improve. A bit undersized it doesn't slow Looney down. His one plus trait is his rebounding. Looney to me feels like a Jeff Green or SAR. Will be interesting if he can make the move to SF in the league. I personally love this kid but the draft master doesn't agree with me. If you leave this draft with Looney you shouldn't feel disappointed.
11. Hollis-Jefferson ~ Not many promising wing players in this class makes Hollis-Jefferson a more desirable prospect with this class. At 20 years old he is a good defender and seems to have a solid all around game. B- inside grade will likely tell the story on this kid. I wouldn't mind rolling the dice late in the lotto on this kid.
12. Grant ~ I have this kid on my fantasy team. All he does is perform at a high level. One of the better players in the college game he continues to improve year to year. He has transitioned to the PG position this year and looks like a natural. I really wanted to list Grant much higher but he only was given a C outside grade and that kept me from doing so.
13. Cauley-Stein ~ Oh another Kentucky player. Odin has a love affair with that school. Seems like dbl has worn off on Bama posters with his bandwagon game. Cauley-Stein should be a great defender in this league. I hope he becomes what Yinka should of been.
