Due to random draft classes we need a new numbering system. mj suggested starting at 1, but the software won't do that. Instead we're going to be starting at 3000.  |

just start it at 76-77...
call the next draft class 78, but use 79's players, then next year call it 79 class but use 94's players etc

Don't follow the Asians idea. make the league start at year 1976-77 season. The upcoming draft will be the 1978 draft in the software, you label it as the 1978 draft in the draft board etc, but put in the 1979 prospects (based on the lotto), the next season will be the 1979 draft, title it the 1979 draft and use the 1994 players etc. regardless I still think its pointless to do the random classes, I see no problems with just starting a fresh league in 1976. |

I like the 3000 idea. Seems like it'd be the simplest. We'll never come close to the year 3000 so it wouldn't end up with like the 04 draft class in 2003, then the 03 class in 2004. No weird intersecting dates.
