Game 4: Rockets 164, NUGGETS 158 tmbsl.com/TMBSL4/3013/boxes/67-5.html
Series Overview:
New season, same results for the Houston Rockets. Once again the Rockets find themselves the Midwest division champion and 1st seed entering the 3013 TMBSL playoffs. Houston features one of the best 1-2 combos in PG Alvin Robertson and SF Stanley Robinson. Denver had high hopes entering the season making moves to acquire veterans Jamal Wilkes and Demarcus Cousins and later moving Wilkes for PG Billy Donovan and Forward Tom Sanders. The promising season was cut short early when the Nuggets lost Cousins to a season ending injury. Rockets took the season series 3-1, and although Houston is thin at the post position with Dwayne Schintzius out for 5 days, there is still too much talent on the Rockets for the Nuggets to overcome.
Prediction: Rockets 4-1

Game 4: Lakers 112, CLIPPERS 93 tmbsl.com/TMBSL4/3013/boxes/110-1.html
Series Overview:
What a roller coaster season for your Pacific Division champions the Los Angeles Lakers. LA started the season on a tear before losing all pro Magic Johnson for double digit games. The Lakers managed to weather the storm and received an apparent death blow when emerging start Dick Furry was lost to a season ending injury. With GM Buster's back against the wall, he surprised many when he made a move to trade Furry north of the border for equally talented PF/C Al Jefferson. With a 12 game winning streak entering the playoffs and a fully healthy team, Lakers look to win the coveted title that has ducked them so far. On the other side of town the Clippers found themselves barely squeaking into the playoffs when that was not the desired intentions of GM Joseph Dirte. Moves were made during the season to try and get younger as the Clippers try to transition into a new era. Lakers easily dominated the in town rivals 4-0 during the season, with the same results expected in the first round series.
Prediction: Lakers 4-0

Game 4: Kings 122, SUNS 93 tmbsl.com/TMBSL4/3013/boxes/89-3.html
Series Overview:
The Kansas City Kings entered the season as another team with title hopes and one of the preseason favorites to win it all. GM Twenty TimesFour started the off season with a bang by making a move for SF Champ Goldbolt to add to the already talented front court of Greg Monroe and Greg Oden. With results not meeting Twenty's expectations he traded for wing Hank Gathers to improve the team's lone weak spot. While the future looks bright, the Phoenix Suns entered the season without much expectations. Firmly in the playoffs all season long, the real story was the benching of last years all rookie PG Steve Nash for undisclosed reasons. GM Ank Bank couldn't be reached for comment. Kansas City won the season series 3-1 with the Kings 3 wins coming by an average of 30 points. Ank made headlines earlier this week when he declared that an upset would take place and his Suns would move on to the 2nd round.
Prediction: Kings 4-1

Game 1: MAVERICKS 138, Trailblazers 114 tmbsl.com/TMBSL4/3013/boxes/40-3.html
Game 2: MAVERICKS 122, Trailblazers 107 tmbsl.com/TMBSL4/3013/boxes/65-6.html

Game 4: Mavericks 122, TRAILBLAZERS 119 tmbsl.com/TMBSL4/3013/boxes/101-6.html
Series Overview:
In perhaps the only Western Conference series match up worth keeping an eye on, the 58 win Dallas Mavericks take on familiar foe and 48 win Portland Trailblazers. The season series went the way of 3-1 to the Mavericks, but one of the Mavs win was only by a 3 point margin. Gary Payton and David Thompson are the match-up to see in this opening round series, and if Payton can slow down the long time Maverick, the Blazers seem poised to pull off the early round upset. Former Maverick Jerod Kundla looks to dish out some payback to his former team after he was traded to the Blazers early in the off-season.
Prediction: Mavericks 4-3

Game 4: ROCKETS 133, Mavericks 110 tmbsl.com/TMBSL4/3013/boxes/70-11.html
Series Overview:
In what seems like a yearly playoff tradition, the Dallas Mavericks find themselves again matched up against the top seed Houston Rockets. The I-45 match-up has proven to cause some fireworks in the past with the Rockets finding themselves on the better end in the last few sim seasons. Houston will be back at full strength for the series, and while Dallas will always stand a puncher's chance, the Rockets appear to be too strong again this season for the Mavericks. Two match-ups to keep an eye on are PGs Alvin Robertson and David Thompson, as well as Centers Wilt Chamberlain and Theodosios Cathasach.
Prediction: Rockets 4-2

Game 4: LAKERS 122, Kings 112 tmbsl.com/TMBSL4/3013/boxes/103-8.html
Series Overview:
The Kings and Lakers find themselves meeting in the 2nd round for the 2nd consecutive season with a trip to the WCFs on the line. The season series was split 2-2, but the Lakers weren't at full strength so it's hard to get a pulse on the match-up. For the Kings to repeat last season's success they must lean on the front court of Godbolt/Oden/Monroe and hope that PG Stephon Marbury's growth during the season wasn't mirage, as he draws one of the hardest positional match-up's in the league with Magic Johnson. LA and Kansas City feature two of the best defenses in the league, and this series may very well comedown to who gets home-court advantage. It's a mystery.

Game 4: Lakers 104, ROCKETS 103 tmbsl.com/TMBSL4/3013/boxes/120-8.html
Series Overview:
The LA Lakers and Houston Rockets found themselves playing in Houston on the last game of the season. Lakers squeaked out a 1 point win evening the season series a two games a piece. The game was without a doubt a preview of what to expect in the Western Conference Finals. If the Lakers are fully healthy they are the better team, but the Rockets posses the wildcard in Stanley Robinson. The talented SF is looking to rebound from his shitty performance in the finals last season to give his team another chance at their 3rd title in 4 seasons.
Prediction: Lakers 4-3
