Walter Davis is a lethal scorer coming into the league. He can finish at the basket and really excels with his midrange game and at the free throw line. Davis won't shoot many threes and his game lives from 20 feet in. Defensively Davis will get a few steals and is an average athlete, but nothing he does on the defensive end is going to wow anyone. On the glass, Davis is essentially non existent, relying on positioning and luck to gather the few boards he does. Davis also has a habit of turning the ball over quite often and can be a detriment in that way. At worst Davis should be a top 3 scoring option and average defensively.
