As you know the 3pt line didn't exist in 1977 nba. What would you guys like me to do? I can leave the file as it is with everyone having a 0 there. I could give the obvious ones good 3pt ratings (pistol, Barry, etc). I could make it randomize all 3pt values. Or other ideas that I didn't list.

Just be smart about it IMO. The obvious ones do by hand, then take educated guesses for the rest. Ex if a guy has a high jump shot he would probably be a good 3pt shooter as well.

irrelevant to the question but thought you should know this: once 3 point rating gets to around 50 ish, adding more 3 point rating doesn't really help with making ppl better 3 point shooters, they just shoot more of it.
league leaders in 3 point % sometimes had like 40-50 3 point rating, but at 90+ 3 point rating, it just meant u were jacking up like 200 3 pointers in a season instead of 80.
