End of Season Award Watch
Rookie of the Year
Candidates
Sidney Moncrief
Sidney Moncrief is off to an outstanding rookie season leading the thought to be rebuilding Raptors to a .500 record. Averaging nearly 30 points on outstanding percentages, Moncrief appears to be on his way to an elite scorer in TMBSL. Team owner Tobias has recently sold the team to owner of AC Milan Faro Bankz.
Magic Johnson
This year’s #1 overall pick had high expectations heading into this season. He has exceeded even those halfway through his rookie campaign. After several position changes early in the season, Magic has seemed to settle in the SF position where he is flourishing with a line of 31.8 ppg/9.8 rpg/3.9 asst to go along with 1.3 steals and 3.4 blocks.
Bill Laimbeer
Perhaps the biggest surprise of this year’s draft class is PF/C Bill Laimbeer. Scouts projected Laimbeer to be an immediate impact on the boards, but most thought it would take Bill to develop offensively/defensively. Laimbeer has proved scouts wrong my averaging 17.5 ppg to go along with 3.1 blocks per game.
Calvin Natt
Calvin appears to be the future in Chicago after Owner/GM traded off youngster Marvin Webster to the Los Angeles Clippers a few days ago. Natt is having a very solid rookie season averaging 17 points to go along with 6 rebounds on solid percentages.

Defensive Player of the Year
Candidates
Bill Walton
If there was ever a lock for an award, it would be Bill Walton and defensive player of the year. The reigning dpoty has continued his defensive dominance this season averaging 14.4 rebounds and 3.6 blocks a game. Bill also is a strong candidate for more hardware this off season.
George Johnson
One half the block brothers, George Johnson has led the Utah Jazz to one of the best rim protecting teams in TMBSL. Locked up on a team friendly contract this off-season, Johnson has responded nicely by averaging 16 rebounds and 4.3 blocks per game.
Caldwell Jones
The other half of the duo is holding up his end of the deal guarding the paint for the Utah Jazz. In the final season of his current deal, Jones is averaging 14 rebounds and 4 blocks per game.
Moses Malone
Mr. Malone appears to be a defensive superstar in the making. At only 22 years old, Ralph has already established himself as one of the best rebounders in TMBSL. Malone averages 15 rebounds, good enough for 2nd in the league, to go along with 2.8 blocks.

Most Valuable Player
Candidates
Bob Lanier
The defending MVP has continued his ways in the 3001 season by averaging 32.5 points, 10.8 rebounds, 4.9 assists while shooting 50 percent from the field, and 80 percent from the charity stripe. Lanier has the Cleveland Cavaliers currently atop the Eastern Conference standings.
David Thompson
Thompson spent his rookie season lighting up the scoreboard at shooting guard for the Dallas Mavericks. A position change to point guard this off season and Thompson has not only managed to keep the scoring pace, but also lead the league in assists halfway through the season. Scoring 30+ points a game to go along with 10.5 assists, Skywalker has huge things ahead of him.
George Gervin
Arguably the best scorer in TMBSL, Gervin has helped lead the Utah Jazz to the top of the TMBSL standings. Although averaging a point less than last season (31 ppg), George has improved or stayed the same in every other category including percentages this season.
Bill Walton
Walton is considered by many to be the most complete player in TMBSL today. We all know about the presence Bill provides defensively for the Pacific leading Blazers, but Walton also leads the team in scoring at 27 ppg, and 2nd on the team in assists with 4.8.
