love for rockets, like for bucks, meh for sixers rockets get out from under two shitty contracts, that's almost worth the two firsts alone Wouldn't call either of those 2 contracts shitty. Haywood is 6 mil for only one more year. Not bad IMO. Smith would be a solid starter, just hasn't had the chance to play this year. Percentages aren't bad. Could be a good PG with a few points into him. That said, I agree it's a nice deal for the Rockets. Losing those 2 contracts definitely won't hurt him as both players are expendable. Re-sign Truck and that team is going to be good for awhile. Fason gets 4 picks for an expiring, who he said he probably wouldn't have brought back anyway. Trofie finally picks up a good, legit big. Could be just what he needs to overtake the Cavs as the best team in the East, although I think he's still a move away. Good move by all 3 sides IMO. |

I just don't think it's a bad contract. He's young and has good grades. Think he'd be a good starter and would put up good numbers as a starting PG. Of course it looks like a bad contract now because his stats aren't good due to coming off the bench. Play him full time and I think people look at it differently. Maybe I'm wrong, but I'd like to see what he could do as a starting PG. Was very happy to land him on that contract after last season though. |
