I propose that in order to start at SG on a depth chart, a player must have either SG or PG as their position. Playing a SF at SG doesn't seem like that big of a deal basketball-wise, but it seems like it's cheese in the software.

I could see a rule like this for a player created as a post player, but I don't like it for players created as wings.
I voted no.

Yeah this is an important point. You are allowed to play any SF at SG. You just have to change their position in the software.

I agree it can be done. Here is how I look at it. The CheeseDraft a player created to be a post player with high rebounding. Move him to SF in the software, not capping his rebounding. Get good wing TCs without hurting rebounding (so you get good 3s/jumper/perimeter D/ TCs). Play him at SG. Not a CheeseDraft a SG created to be a wing player with lower rebounding. Move him to SF in the soft ware to avoid capping his rebounding in TC.

I get it with players like Fazekas
But it hurts the true wings like Aguirre and Naulls

I think it should be adjusted so that SF can be moved to SG but that if they had PF listed they can't

But they'd actually have to be moved so they can't avoid caps if that is a concern
