Dennis Rodman 24 PF 6'7 210 SE Oklahoma State D+ D C- A A D Rodman comes from a small school where he absolutely dominated competition. He has a couple skills that translate fantastically to the pro level, and a couple others that simply do not. Dennis won't come close to the offensive production he put up in college. He will however make an immediate impact in effort. He rebounds the basketball with tenacity and determination, which is the same way he defends. He's not going to block a ton of shots, but he's a pest and disrupts the oppositions best post player. Rodman is no more than a screen setter on offense, but he's a game changer on defense and on the boards.

Seems pretty good to me.
I mean, D potential means his actual potential will be like 72, which is not horrible.
Given what we know about actual potential from eric's testing, it's not like he's going to suck.
He is built to be a defensive/rebounding big. With A/A grades already, it's not like he's going to need 90+ potential to be what he's going to be.

I guess I just don't understand why we give people D potential knowing that they won't actually have D potential.

I guess I just don't understand why we give people D potential knowing that they won't actually have D potential. that isn't whats been done here at all. i have no way of knowing what potential soup is going to give a guy, but honestly even if he had A pot, with those scoring grades he's never going to develop into a scorer so it's kind of irrelevant

I guess I just don't understand why we give people D potential knowing that they won't actually have D potential. The same reason we give any prospect a shown potential - so show their scouted potential relative to other prospects. I suspect that most prospects with B shown potential don't have B hidden potential. Same with C. I'd bet the only shown potential that more often than not represents hidden potential is A.
