I like what Sabonis is doing. Thinking about trying him at #1 option to see what happens.

Day 60 Top 10 1. Jeff Hornacek PG 23 6'3'' 190 C+ A- B+ B- D+ BHornacek jumps to the top spot due that FG%. He looks to be the front runner for ROY. 2. Benji Wilson SF 19 6'8'' 180 B B+ C+ B C AWilson's PPG continues to improve and his FG% has went up a little in the last 30 days. 3. Arvydas Sabonis C 22 7'3'' 285 B C C B+ B+ AFG% and steals dropped. I don't think he likes playing in an inside offense. 4. Brad Daugherty C 20 7'0'' 270 A- C- C- B A- BThose TOs are just too gross for me to have him any higher. In four seasons I hope Eric tells us what his handles and passing started at.
5. Len Bias SF 21 6'8'' 230 B- B+ C A- B- BStill struggling but the good news for Victor is that Rudy Gay practically had the same exact stats during his rookie season. 6. Dell Curry SG 21 6'4'' 190 C A- C B- C+ BCurry jumps into the top 10 due his decent FG% and because I'd like to see what he could do with with starter's minutes. 7. Drazen Petrovic SG 21 6'5'' 200 C+ B+ C B+ C AI had him at #3 last time due to his efficient shooting which appears to be gone so he had to drop. 8. Dennis Rodman SF 24 6'7'' 215 D+ D+ C- A+ A DThe only player in the top 10 starting for a playoff team. I want to see Jerry West play him at PF next season next to Bill Russell.
9. William Bedford C 22 7'0'' 240 B- D+ D+ B+ B BHaving a decent season but looks like a third big.
10. Max Willis C 22 7'4'' 286 C+ D+ C A- C+ BStill blocking shots and the rest of the class is struggling.

I am such a fool for taking Johnny Dawkins over Hornacek

Just a heads up @fason, Roy Tarpley has better stats than #9 and #10 (and arguably #7 and #8). I'll just assume that was a mistake

Day 90 Top 10 1. Benji Wilson SF 19 6'8'' 180 B B+ C+ B C ABenji improved his PPG, FG% and 3P% so he jumps to the top spot. That 3P% is very impressive for a rookie.
2. Arvydas Sabonis C 22 7'3'' 285 B C C B+ B+ AField goal percentage has gone up .20 since RV switched from inside to outside focus. He's back in the ROY discussion. 3. Jeff Hornacek PG 23 6'3'' 190 C+ A- B+ B- D+ BHornacek drops due to his PPG and FG% declining. Also because Benji and Sabonis improved. Hornacek is still right there for ROY.
4. Brad Daugherty C 20 7'0'' 270 A- C- C- B A- BThose points per game, rebounds and shooting percentages all look very good but doesn't provide any blocks and leads the league in TOs. I hope Soup allows him to play PG next preseason so we can see record breaking numbers. 5. Len Bias SF 21 6'8'' 230 B- B+ C A- B- BStats didn't move much. At this point he looks like a pure SF due to those low shot blocking numbers. 6. Dell Curry SG 21 6'4'' 190 C A- C B- C+ BFG% declined but PPG continue to improve. He keeps his spot because those behind him didn't really improve. 7. Dennis Rodman SF 24 6'7'' 215 D+ D+ C- A+ A DI love Rodman. He's having a Kittenfish type season. 8. William Bedford C 22 7'0'' 240 B- D+ D+ B+ B BHe's ahead of Tarpley due to winning a coin toss. He may have more room to grow than Tarpley due to his low FT%. 9. Roy Tarpley PF 21 6'11'' 265 B C D+ B+ B AI may have been too hard on Tarpley last time due to his FG%. His jumper looks maxed out due that FT% so I'm not sure if Taco should even put points into his offense. Don't want him taking anymore shots. 10. Drazen Petrovic SG 21 6'5'' 200 C+ B+ C B+ C AKeeps falling because his FG% continues to get worse.

Those points per game, rebounds and shooting percentages all look very good but doesn't provide any blocks and leads the league in TOs. I hope Soup allows him to play PG next preseason so we can see record breaking numbers. laughed out loud 3p% and handling grows like a weed for guards. not saying hornacek deserves ROY, and B potential is a little concerning, but he's already at 4:1 ast:tov and scoring with moderate volume. what i'm saying is i really really wish victorj24 had taken me up on my offer of 2000 bucks for horny. also love rodman going forward. he's a defensive big who is only slightly below average in scoring efficiency and doesn't turn it over, that's a dynamite combination. maybe his potential hits the drop zone and he's gone in three years, or maybe he stays steady for fifteen. it's up to the software now.

No idea how Drazen is a super efficient scorer for 30 sim days... then he falls off a cliff

I was looking over Benji's numbers earlier today, getting excited about his 3 point %. Glad for the update. Update is good.

No idea how Drazen is a super efficient scorer for 30 sim days... then he falls off a cliff If you look at 97 for 209, that's 46% right, but statistically it's 46% ± 7% because 2 * sqrt(97/209*(1-97/209)*209)/209 = 7%. Since then he's gone 164 for 444, that's 37% but ± 5%, so really they overlap: the measurements seem too far apart because 46% is good and 37% is terrible, but they are actually consistent because of the sample sizes involved, and his true talent level is somewhere from 39% to 42%. It's also possible you played harder competition in the latter period, or he just generally got worse looks.

Day 120 Top 10 1. Arvydas Sabonis C 22 7'3'' 285 B C C B+ B+ AI agree with the software's choice for ROY. Blocks will probably never get past 1.5/2 so he'll need to raise that shooting percentage to be an elite big.
2. Benji Wilson SF 19 6'8'' 180 B B+ C+ B C APretty good at everything. I hope for the league's sake he doesn't become a PG. 3. Jeff Hornacek PG 23 6'3'' 190 C+ A- B+ B- D+ BHe peaked around the all star break but still a very good season for Eric's version of Aaron Harrison. 4. Brad Daugherty C 20 7'0'' 270 A- C- C- B A- BCurious to see how effective he is in a couple seasons once he has +16 put into his handles. 5. Len Bias SF 21 6'8'' 230 B- B+ C A- B- B
His rookie season was disappointing but I'm sure he'll end up being a stud with those grades. 6. Dennis Rodman SF 24 6'7'' 215 D+ D+ C- A+ A DThird team all defense as a rookie and 1.2 blocks at SF. He and Russell should be the best defensive frontcourt in the league next season. 7. Roy Tarpley PF 21 6'11'' 265 B C D+ B+ B ATarpley raised his FG% for these last two sets of rankings so he deservedly went from unranked to #7. 8. Dell Curry SG 21 6'4'' 190 C A- C B- C+ BHe was okay, that 3P% is disappointing though. 9. Drazen Petrovic SG 21 6'5'' 200 C+ B+ C B+ C ASeason started with such promise but whimpered out. Like Bias, I'm sure he'll be good with those grades. 10. William Bedford C 22 7'0'' 240 B- D+ D+ B+ B BWould love him if he didn't shoot as much. Shaun should root for -1 inside scoring in the next TC.

2 * sqrt(97/209*(1-97/209)*209)/209 = 7% six of one, 2 * sqrt(97/209*(1-97/209)*209)/209 of the other margin of error: ±1
