Going to do power rankings for this year's rookie class after every 30 sim days. Rankings will be based more on stats rather than grades and potential.

Why? He had a great TC... Just basing on prior experience. didn't take very many shots in preseason. The two good young wings that I've had shot the ball a lot, the bust didn't.

I like the idea. Can we get a better formatting with the stats? Hard for dil to read.

I didn't realize Sabonis played during the preseason. He would have been #3.

Great article. One thing I watch out for in preseason is the computer will change guys' positions. The only one I saw in the top 10 was Benji at SG instead of SF, which means we should expect him to take slightly less shots, more threes, and less steals in the real season. The real killers are when the computer switches a guy across PF/SF or SG/PG, didn't see any of those. Just basing on prior experience. didn't take very many shots in preseason. The two good young wings that I've had shot the ball a lot, the bust didn't. I wouldn't call him a bust yet. The great Broderick Langhi took only .18 true shots per minute his rookie year, he eventually grew into a 20 PPG scorer though. Bias is already at .30, long-term I think 25 PPG is a reasonable expectation and he's got a decent shot at 30 PPG. Between Inside Scoring growth, camps, and moving him to SG and making him a #1 option there's a lot you can do to goose his usage. The question will be whether you want him to take that many shots, right now his efficiency is very poor.

Day 30 Top 10 1. Arvydas Sabonis C 22 7'3'' 285 B C C B+ B+ AI guess he is currently having the best start to their rookie season. He'd be a great prospect if he blocked some shots. Right now he looks like another Chris Mihm. 2. Brad Daugherty C 20 7'0'' 270 A- C- C- B A- BWould be the clear number one if it weren't for those turnovers and weak blocks/steals. Kn has to be happy though with Daugherty's scoring and efficient shooting. 3. Drazen Petrovic SG 21 6'5'' 200 C+ B+ C B+ C AHe gets the nod over Benji due to the efficiency. Only critique is that I'm sure Bankz wishes he would shoot more. 4. Benji Wilson SF 19 6'8'' 180 B B+ C+ B C ALooks promising, his points per game jumped a few points after Rice was traded. He's now the Cavs number one scoring option so his numbers should continue to improve. 5. Len Bias SF 21 6'8'' 230 B- B+ C A- B- BHaving a better season than preseason. That three point percentage is encouraging. Those grades are really sexy and already close to Kevin Durant's. 6. Jeff Hornacek PG 23 6'3'' 190 C+ A- B+ B- D+ BLooks good and should be Victor's long term solution at PG. He just needs that field goal percentage and three point percentage to go up. 7. William Bedford C 22 7'0'' 240 B- D+ D+ B+ B BHe has similar grades and stats as a young Montrezl Harrell. Looks like he could be a long term starter or at least a third big. Have him above Tarpley due to the blocks. 8. Roy Tarpley PF 21 6'11'' 265 B C D+ B+ B ASeems to be the same player as Bedford but with better grades. His jumper appears to be maxed out with that free throw percentage. 9. Max Willis C 22 7'4'' 286 C+ D+ C A- C+ BThose blocks are nice and that's really it. 10. Dennis Rodman SF 24 6'7'' 215 D+ D+ C- A+ A DInteresting player, That A+ defense is incredible. Not sure how much of an impact he can have at SF long term. Sorry if I missed anyone. Blame Bankz for rushing me.

you put Max Willis stats under Drazen's name... That makes sense. I was wondering why he said Drazen over Benji due to efficiency when Benji's numbers were more efficient.

i honestly don't remember how i built any of these guys, just want to preface with that.
to me arvydas is the far and away #1 of rookies so far. there are literally a million guys in this league who score efficiently but refuse to shoot. sabo is the third option on a very slow team (albeit in an inside offense) and putting up 25 ppg. he's already a good rebounder, and rebounding and shot blocking are fast growers for centers. you can say a lot of the same things about brad daugherty but he combines sabo's terrible shot blocking with catastrophic turnover rates, handling is a slow grower for centers, he couldn't steal candy from a baby, and he's B potential instead of A.
sabonis could very easily lead the league in scoring from the center position while being top ten rebounding. if he gets up to even two blocks a game he'll be MVP caliber

I like where Drazen is... Fason mentioned wanting him to shoot more but when comparing him to Benji he's only averaging 4.8 shots per game less as the third option on my team. I would assume Benji is the #1 option on a terrible Cavs team.
Curious to what he would do as the #1 option... Maybe the last couple of sims I'll run him at that spot
