Kevin Love 19 PF/C 6'10 250 UCLA B- B- C+ C B- A Love is a very good stretch 4. He enters the league as the best shooting big man from this class. His outlet passes are legendary, and he snags a bunch or boards giving him a lot of opportunities to show off that skill. Where Love needs a lot of polish is on the defensive end. He's very good pretty much everywhere else. He could use some development of his inside moves, but he's strong and a willing learner. He's got a pretty high floor and his ceiling is enormous if he becomes a better defender. The problem is with all the effort he gives in every other aspect of the game, it suffers on defense.

Would be much better if he were listed at just PF.

Pretty sure Ian said you can't make a dude into a good player if he starts with c defense.

Nash started with C- defense but Odin made him as close to C as he could.
I really, really wanted to make Kevin Love's profile/gradeset. Wish I would have gotten his draft.

Defense is by far the most meaningless grade in the software. Consider that a center with 100 Stealing, 100 Shot Blocking, 100 Strength, and 5 in the rest has D+ defense, while a guy with 80 Post Defense / Drive Defense / Strength and 40 Quickness has B-. I wouldn't build a guy like that and I follow the profile words, but the principle stands. Like anything else it's in the hands of the software. If a guy knocks out three +15 Shot Blocking training camps, he's going to be a decent defender no matter where he starts. If he goes -5 every year, he'll be decent at best.
