 Russell Westbrook 19 PG 6'2 200 UCLA B C+ C+ B- C+ A Westbrook enters the league as a pretty raw prospect. He showed flashes in college and is an extremely good athlete. He needs to learn how to be a point guard and distribute the basketball. He's got a knack for getting to the rim, and can finish when he gets there. He's good from the line, but is shaky from range. Defensively he also needs to improve to be an impact defender. On the glass he's better than most guards, mostly because of how good an athlete he is. The sky is the limit for Westbrook. |

PG max is C+ I think he should be a SG though. Seriously? If you put 100 Strength 100 Quickness 50 O Reb 50 D Reb you end up with 60 Rebounding, that's C+. As to him being SG, people forget he played SG in high school and college. The Thunder played him at PG because a) he was too small and too poor a shooter to play SG and more importantly b) they were tanking, and they got James Harden and Serge Ibaka so mission accomplished there. The guy shot 27% from 3 and led the league in turnovers his rookie year, remember. He's still too small and too poor a shooter to play SG, and the Thunder are too dumb to have ever replaced James Harden as a legitimate primary backcourt ballhandler, so he's still at PG. He has an assist to turnover ratio under 2 for his career, and he takes almost 3 scoring touches for every assist. You'll go a long way before you find any true point guard with those kind of numbers. Please note that none of this is saying that Russell Westbrook is bad at basketball, just that he has been criminally misutilized by his team. Westbrook was 20 too. Not up to me which age we use but I know people have been talking about too many teenagers entering the league and this is a big reason why IMO.
