Rankings are based more on production rather than grades and potential. Preseason Top 10
1. Michael Beasley SF 19 6'8'' 235 B+ C C- B B A Those shooting percentages  he should average 8-9 rebounds a game with more minutes. Taco may have taken the best player in the draft at 1.7.
2. Brook Lopez C 19 7'0'' 275 B C- D+ B B- A All that hype before the draft looks to be justified. I expect he'll average 20 and 8 during the regular season. Hopefully he can improve his shot blocking like Sabonis has in first few seasons. 3. O.J. Mayo SG 20 6'5'' 210 B- A- C C+ C A Decent preseason numbers and great scoring grades for a 20 year old. Going off the preseason the Magic won the draft. Congrats JHB! 4. Russell Westbrook PG 19 6'3'' 205 B B- C+ B C+ B He did play PG during the preseason so his assist numbers are kind of strange. He'll probably average 3.5-4 TOs with more minutes. Maybe Eric wanted him to become a SG. 5. Kevin Love PF 19 6'10'' 250 B- B- C+ C B+ B Another stud with disappointing numbers. He needs to get more shots up and improve those percentages. 6. Derrick Rose PG 19 6'3'' 195 B+ B- B B C- A Really disappointing numbers for the number one pick. Good news is that his free throw percentage shows that there is room for improvement on his jumper. Bad news is that his handles need a lot of points. 7. JaVale McGee C 20 7'0'' 270 C+ D+ D+ A- B- A He's here due to those blocks. It appears as though Eric has mastered making bigs that turn it over all the time. 8. Joey Dorsey PF 24 6'8'' 270 B C C B+ C+ C Really nice find by Trofie in the second round. Could become a decent 3rd big down the road. 9. Robin Lopez C 19 7'0'' 255 B D+ C- A- B- B Nice blocks and rebounding numbers. I think he'll turn into a solid big once his jumper improves.
10. Eric Gordon SG 19 6'5'' 215 C+ B+ C B C- A He's in the top 10 because his FG% and 3P% are impressive also I love his grades. |

Day 40 Top 10 1. Michael Beasley SF 19 6'8'' 235 B+ C C- B B A Beasley has easily been the best rookie in this class so far. Have to love that FG% from a 19 year old. Jumper looks to be maxed out with that FT%. 2. Brook Lopez C 19 7'0'' 280 B C- D+ B B- A Wish he were more efficient but at least he shoots unlike many of the other lotto picks in this draft. He's a better rebounder and shot blocker than I expected him to be. 3. Jose Salling C 23 6'10'' 248 B+ C C- B C+ A Who? Nice start so far for the software player. Could keep this spot if he continues to shoot 46%. 4. Danilo Gallinari SF 19 6'10'' 225 B B D+ C+ C A Love the efficiency but wish he shot more. 5. O.J. Mayo SG 20 6'5'' 210 B- A- C C+ C A Okay start to his season, needs to cut down on the TOs and improve those percentages. 6. Goran Dragic PG 21 6'3'' 190 C+ B B- B- C- B Would not have expected Dragic to be the highest ranked PG in this class. Needs to cut down on the TOs but looks like Odin finally found his PG.
7. Derrick Rose PG 19 6'3'' 195 B+ B- B B C- A He's missed a ton of games. Only thing that I like about him right now is that FG%. Concerning that he doesn't shoot.
8. Kevin Love PF 19 6'10'' 250 B- B- C+ C B+ B Pretty disappointing so far. 9. JR Giddens SG 22 6'5'' 225 B+ C- C B- B- C Interesting prospect with that C- jumper. I bet his potential is much higher than C. 10. Russell Westbrook SG 19 6'3'' 205 B+ B C+ B+ C+ B Grades are sexy as hell. Hopefully Trofie can unload Anderson so we can see what Westbrook can do with more minutes. |

disagree on Love, he's only getting 19 minutes a game. if you prorate his stats to Lopez' 32.8, you get 14.8 points 11.0 rebounds 1.5 blocks, he's slightly more efficient at 0.96 pts/tsa compared to Lopez' 0.95, and Lopez is a 2nd option compared to Love being a 3rd option.
