Thorpe is a very low risk low reward type of player. He's strong down low on the block and on defense, but he won't block many shots or fill a stat sheet defensively. He isn't going to shut down any opposing post players, but he can certainly hold his own. Not a lethal scoring threat, but can score in the mid to high teens consistently. He'll be very good on the boards from the get go, as thats his strongest suit.
