Dil's 3028 Big Board
Analyses
1. Jesus Shuttlesworth SG 6'5" 198 19 B- B C C+ C A 99
- TMBSL has historically been a big fan of Jesus. He was dominant in 2.0 and caused quite a FA scandal with yawn coming out a winner. Jesus should be a great scorer with excellent potential. Hopefully the software doesn't stunt his defensive growth.
2. Steve Francis PG 6'3" 194 22 B B- C+ B- C- A 99
- Franchise was another 2.0 great who looks primed for 4.0 success. There are rumors in Houston that the Rockets will do everything they can to bring Steve home. Big fan of these grades. Go Rockets.
3. Elton Brand PF 6'8" 260 20 B+ C- D+ B+ B+ B 97
- Shoe polish. Elton will be a very strong contributor from day one and needs no help form TC to do so. His potential will determine if he's a quality starter or an all-star.
4. Manu Ginobili SG 6'6" 205 22 B B- C B C B 96
- Incredible starting grades for an irl 2nd round pick. Manu has elite scoring and defensive starting grades. He should be a solid contributor from day 1 and the B potential gives him solid room for growth. Great looking prospect.
5. Lamar Odom SF 6'10" 220 20 B C+ C+ C+ C+ A 95
- RIP Lammy. Great looking prospect here. Would be a nasty PG if eligible. He doesn't look to excel in anything so hopefully he goes to a GM that will pump points into him.
6. Shawn Marion SF 6'7" 210 21 B C C B- B- A 94
- The Matrix has a very eric friendly profile so I'm expecting big things. He's one of those players that everyone kind of likes irl and in sim. Hopefully he fills up the box score like he's advertised.
7. Ron Artest SF 6'7" 233 20 B- C+ C+ A- C+ B 93
- I really hope Artest turns out well. Best case scenario he turns out to be the next Lockhart. Worst case scenario he's a defensive stopper off the bench. Quite a wide range. It all comes down to how his scoring develops.
8. Jonathan Bender SF 6'11" 210 19 B- C+ C+ C+ C+ A 92
- Very interesting looking prospect. A seven foot wing with C+ handles is a rare commodity in TMBSL. Could he turn out to be the first 7' PG??
9. Baron Davis PG 6'2" 190 20 B C C+ B C A 89
- Baron has a nasty UCLA highlights (dil posted them in his profile iirc). The guy cannot shoot but he's incredible at everything else. I would've liked to have seen his handles +1 but it's not a huge deal.
10. Andrei Kirilenko SF 6'9" 205 19 C+ B- C+ B C+ B 88
- Another stat stuffer here. Andrei was a dominant defensive player irl before the injury bug bit him. He was never anything more than an average scorer and that will be his sticking point in TMBSL as well.
11. Richard Hamilton SG 6'6" 185 21 C+ B C C+ C- A 85
- Rip Hamilton comes into the league with a killer jumper and not much else. This one will all come down to potential and software.
12. Corey Maggette SG 6'6" 220 20 B C+ C- C+ C A 84
- Cue Ian's nostalgia.
13. Jason Terry PG/SG 6'2" 172 22 C+ B C C+ D+ B 83
- Souperstar alert. Jet was a huge piece to the Mavs title run so I could see him having a nice little bias in sim. He has to overcome his tweener grades. I think he's most likely going to be a PG based on size and rebounding.
14. Jeff Foster PF 6'10" 260 22 C C- C- B B B 81
- Classic defensive big here.
15. Ryan Robertson SG 6'5" 190 23 C+ C+ C+ C+ C+ B 80
- Ocho makes his sim appearance as a .38 special.
